So I've been scrolling through these seeing what people say about this number kind of laughing and being pissed at the same time. The guy that said he called Wells Fargo fraud dep and they said it wasn't a good number. Idk who you talked to but they have no idea what they are talkong about. I work for Wells Fargo. I'm actually the one on the other end of that call. And I promise you it is real. Its Wells Fargo credit card collections dep. chances are if that number keeps popping up you missed your credit card payment. I hear that we are fraudulent all the time. Now I know its because people like Sherlock Holmes on this page had to take the time to complete his half assed investigation. This is so stupid people. Wells Fargo has a headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. That's where their phone calls are routed though. Just call them, or answer your phone, and pay your bill or at least full the rep in on your situation we are there to help you. Problem solved. :) No more phone calls.

This number has obsessively called me ever since I got a new phone with this number and even though I have requested multiple times that they remove me from their calling list they will not stop. This is harassment.

We've received phone calls from this number and another similar number.  They do not leave a message and when we tried to call back got a computer saying it was Wells Fargo.  However, upon checking with Wells Fargo via the number on our debit card and the Wells Fargo website - the numbers do NOT belong to Wells Fargo.  This is an elaborate fishing scam - do not return the calls, do not share your account numbers, and do NOT give out your social security number.

been getting at least 5 calls a day to my cell for about 2 months now.  I'm ready to find a lawyer and sue wells fargo for harassment I've told them on numerous occasions to stop calling my number.  i live in california in the bay area any lawyers (warpig1998@gmail.com) out there want some work. they did call me cause my account got overdrawn because of child support payment.  They took the 3 dollars in the account and charged me $100 dollars service fee for it(the courts i guess) and wells fargo gave it to them.  I told them they burnt themselves that I'm not paying for money that didn't exist in my account and for the fact that they did the transaction not me

It's NOT Wells Fargo and you shouldn't answer the call nor call them back! YOU ARE USING MINUTES - YOU ARE PAYING FOR MINUTES! Get it? Don't you all see? They blame Wells Fargo, they pretend to be a scam when indeed they are a scame but not the scam you think. ALL of you are blaming the wrong company! THINK ABOUT IT!!

You buy minutes for your pay as you go phone, then suddenly receive this annoying number, you call them or answer, wham bam thank you mam, we just made a few more pennies. Mine is TracFone, who's yours? The same, well well well, what a coincidence!!

Its Wells Fargo Collections Department Calling you. This number will not be calling you unless you owe them some kind of money! So if yo do get a call from this number which is computer call then you are transferred to a Representative after you pick up. They will call you upwards of 50 times a day like they did to me until you clear up the situation regarding your account.

I have been receiving calls from this number for about 3 weeks.  They average about 14 a day combined to my 2 phone lines.  I finally waited on the line to discover that Wells Fargo had erroneously trumped up overdraft charges on an old checking account of mine.  After explaining to this company over a dozen times that I believe WF is out of line with this bill and asked them to stop calling me all hours of the day, I lost it a bit and said the "F" word one time.  Well, that made the lady on the other end of the phone go ballistic on me.  She hung up on me, as they had done every other previous time I answered.  I decided to call the number back and I got Brad on the phone, who told me that they had a right to call me as often as they pleased as long as WF showed I owed them money.  He refused to give out their address, fully knowing that I was about to send a registered letter asking them to stop calling.  All I wanted was a paper trail so that I could dispute this debt.  It is clear that this is on of those GED based collection agencies.

I finally answered after 2-3 a day 7 days a week. Then a guy asks for somebody's name who I don't even know, much less resides here.  They re-verify my own phone number, and then I snap and remember I had talked to them once-upon-a-time back, because of the name given. It's obviously a collection department trying to contact a bad debtor. I've had this happen on my phone number more than once. Somebody is purposely giving out my number as their own, whether on purpose ( which I doubt ), or just luck of the draw ( more than likely ).  I then told the worker that I had already made their company ( whoever they are ) aware of this and told them to remove my number on grounds of fraudulent activity by their mark.  He apologized and said he would do so and inform his supervisor about the wrong number given.  I was actually surprised by his response, but I don't see them getting my number taken off without at least another call or two.  But eventually my phone stops ringing.

Just FYI, from personal experience, debt collectors do not always verify their debtor's contact information. Sometimes they buy these cases from whatever company or institution that has written them off with the intention of getting the original debt, or a good percentage of it. The original lender or company that has written the client off as a loss has more than likely collected insurance on the outstanding balance.

I personally had one such organization merely get a same first/last name match out of the public directory and unknown to me had this taken all the way to scarring my credit reports. Not only were they wrong and did not want to admit their ignorance and guilt for such a lazy way of going about it, they would not help in any way.  Short of pressing charges with their local D.A. for identity theft, I wanted this off my record ASAP and would not get it done any sooner if I went the legal route.  Instead, after talking to the original company who incurred the loss, I was able to verify the original debtors information the same way the idiots did, through my telephone directory. They could not give me the information outright, but after I read off a name and address they could tell me that I did in fact have the correct information.  Called the junior high dropout collection agency back and told them they owed me a salary for doing their work for them, and unless they corrected their mistake and cleared my record, as in right now, I would be pressing charges against their company.  All three of my credit reports were straightened out shortly after that.

I kept getting a call from "Oregon" on my private line at work but they would never leave a message.  I finally called this # back and it is Wells Fargo, which I don't even have an account with them.  Apparently someone had given my work phone # instead of their real #.  I asked them to remove my # from this persons file and they agreed to do so.

503-403-2697, this number keeps calling my cell phone asking for some random person. I have told them time after time they have the wrong number. I have also called them back using a land line to have them remove my cell number from their system and they haven't. This has been going on for almost a year now.

My son complained to me about this number calling his cell phone repeatedly.  I called the number back and got a recodring saying it was Wells Fargo.  Not sure why Wells Fargo would be calling my son being that he is 10 years old and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have an account with them.
