They already have it; it's the Do Not Call Registry and it is simple as pie to sign up for. My problem was that I didn't register all my phones (cell, land line, home office, company cell)

You have to register each phone. But it's all free. (well, your taxes pay for it if that concerns you)

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in apparent violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

this call is always a voice message saying out of order try your call again. when i try to find out

I just got another call from these people...  I didn't pick up the phone this time...  First time they called, they said it was to answer a questionnaire about our economy... After answering a few questions, a man said I qualified for a free cruise.  I asked 'What's the catch?'  He said no catch.  I said "B***s***...there is ALWAYS a catch".  After a few minutes, I asked if this was about a timeshare offer, and he said it was... I told him to NEVER EVER call me again.  They continue to call.....  These are always a ploy to get any and all personal info they can get...  NEVER talk to thee people... They couldn't possibly care less about how you feel about the economy.......All they are interested in doing is improving their own.

I knew who it was and usually don't answer, but in a moment of weakness I did. Yes, they start with the "political opinion" survey, then I hung up knowing that my number is going to be peddled to all the scammers, so I guess my phone will be ringing often for a while, and I'll ignore it again.
We don't have political opinions in Canada, we have a majority government.  Maybe the US wants  to annex us?

Phoney political survey that switches to a phoney sales pitch claiming for answering their stupid a** questions they 'reward' you with a phoney 2 day Bahamas cruise which is actually a lame time share scam. These same moron's have also been sued by another company they claimed to be (to trick those they called into answering), there's also a class action lawsuit in process against them, and when they spoofed Caller ID so it said they were from Washington State they stupidly called WA States attorney General's office, they have a fake website set up with so many syntax errors on it as well as a phoney opt out form that serves the same scamming purpose as pressing a number or either answering or calling them back ... to confirm they have a live number and the calls will get worse, these same idiotic moron's also have been calling folks in Canada where any U.S. based poll/survey would be meaningless!
This is NOT a real survey at all (nothing like Gallup, Pew or Rasmussen or any other well known and established polling organization)
This  has NOTHING AT ALL to do with the elections, Obama or the national debt (or either Republican or Democratic Party)
It DOES use robo dialers to make these illegal and harassing calls
It DOES use Caller ID spoofing for malicious purposes
It claims to 'reward' you ... when no legit survey or poll does anything of the sort ... EVER!
It uses the 'survey' ruse to get around the DNC Registry so they can scam you with a phoney cruise that's actually a time share scam
They (like all the other scams) always ask for your credit card #  ... no real survey/poll ever does that
They also use other spoofed numbers that have been used by the home security system scam, the credit card interest rate lowering scam and several others.
But ... I, in advance, already blacklisted this number and countless others they use and may use so all these idiots get is the disconnected number message ...each time ... all numbers! I laugh more each time they try and end up more foolish and idiotic as well as probably more PO'd. I win they lose!
I can see if they try calling by checking the call list, this time ... sure enough this number in red letters appeared there shortly before I posted. Thak God, for services like Google Voice.
These idiots just don't seem to get it that by now we ALL know it's a scam. And if they do ... shows how childishly immature they are by their constant attempt at their harassing calls ... like spoiled rotten children who disn't get their way and end up throwing a temper tantrum!

Display shows it is from 503-457-1508.  Another call with dead air, then they hangup.  This one displays name as "LFG GROUP".  Also got calls - with dead air and then they hang up - from 503-457-1379 and 971-208-9947 with displayed name as "IND SUR GROUP".

got call.  added to "contacts" as "Bogus" so shows that on my caller id and I can ignore.

The problem with this nationwide robo call scam system is the if you answer your phone once, then the criminals peddle your phone number to the other mouth - breathing criminals as an active number. I have a bigger problem on my land line than my cell. On my land line, I have muted the ring tone so I am not running to the phone 2-3 times a day just to get my blood pressure up. Makes the day more peaceful. Just got a call from the number above on my cell. Will report it to the FCC for all the good it will do. Uncle Sugar needs to pass laws that outlaw ALL phone(y) calls from business or other non-private parties unless specifically agreed to by phone user. Fat chance.
