This number comes across my caller I.D. as "Phone Services". When I let it go to voice mail there is a very long pause and then they hang up. I get this company calling up to several times a day. Finally answered it today and the other person started talking about an outstanding debt I had with the phone company and then went into a scripted speel about how to lower my interest rate. I explained we are on the National Do Not Call Registrey and she said "Lady, that means nothing to us because we will just keep calling and we will keep passing your number from one agency to another."

Caller ID says "Phone Services" and when I answered the phone a recorded message stated that the call was offering a free secruity system and all I had to do was allow the caller to put a sign in my yard. Then there was the option to press " 1 " to speak to someone or pree " 9 " to be taken off the call list. I pressed " 9 " and there was serveral seconds of silence, then I was disconnected. I'm on the DO Not Call list, but it doesn't really work.

Got lots of calls from 503 457 1829 and they want to put in a security service for free. They my home is robbed. And they still keep calling and say that there has been report activity in our neighbourhood of reported breakins. Seems too much like a coincidence to me. I'm sick of it!

ID "Phone Services". Regarding free home security system. Opted for "do not call", called number on ID and opted for same. Says it takes 24 - 48 hours to be removed. I've had several calls over the past several days and have yet to be removed.

We have been receiving multiple phone calls from this number for weeks. This is even after we have asked that they stop, both with a live representative and by pressing whatever numbers they give to be removed to the company's no call list.
Apparently this telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group. They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in apparent violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Received a call from Phone Services. When I answered, no one was there. I called the number back and goting a man's recorded voice say, "Thank you for returning our call. You were contacted by a commercial entity's marketing call. To be put on our no call list, please press 1." The same recording kept repeating over and over--so I did press 1. I heard from a friend just now that was a no no. In pressing one I may have inadvertently given them permission to call me, regardless of what the recording said. The thing is, why should I have to put my number on THEIR no call listing, when I'm already on the government's NO Call List Registry to begin with? (by the way, I've reported this number yet again) We have received two or three calls from Phone Services every week. I either get no one, a live representative (I've asked that they remove our number), or some recording about breaking ins and the FBI, and how much I need home protection services. The call apparently originates from in Tillamook along the Oregon Coast close to Highway 101. Just sayin'.
| Sylvi 2012-07-27 16:51:47 Unknown |
I also received a call for security system - the number is a fake number they use so you don't know the real number and therefore are unable to block further calls, so I pressed 1 in order to speak to someone, made like i was interested in the system said I would have to speak to my husband and asked for a number I could call back which he gave along with his extension. I immediately went in and entered the number he gave me to block future calls. So far no more calls.

Caller ID said "Phone Services" as well. 503 is NW Oregon. I deleted the header, #, and time on my fax machine and let it pick up, hoping their auto dialer will delete my number when it sees it's just a fax machine. It's helped reduce these harassing calls in the past, but it's time for another go 'round.

A few moments ago, we received the first call from this number, my husband hung up on the recorded message, something about the FBI and selling home security systems. A few seconds later the phone rang again. It was a recording of the same voice, from the same number called again. The message this time was: "to be put on the no-call list press 9." We are already on the no-call list. I shudder to think what would have happened should we have pressed nine. Apparently this phone number originated from the Oregon Coast in Tillamook, living along HWY 101.

Both robo calls saying they are Credit Card Services (wanting to "help") and one that begins, "According to the FBI, every <blank> minutes there is a home burglary in the United States." What a CROCK!!! We are on the do not call list, too.

Caller said they were interested in an item I had listed for sale on craigslist. They were specific about the item and set a time to come look. I gave them the address before checking the number.

Free installation of home alarm with purchase of 2 years of monitoring.
I'm on the National and Texas Do Not Call lists. This is the second time they've called, and the second time I've asked them to NOT call me.

JD,
I'm all for stopping these calls but they stop on one number and they start using another. They have gone from a regular phone to a "cell phone". They will always find a way to circumvent the system.
I know I can block so many numbers on my phone system but the way they change phone numbers, I would be constantly changing the numbers to block.
I don't think anyone can really stop them in the long run. They call all over. I can report them in OR and NC (since that is where I live) but you know what, they will just get a different number. What good does that do me?
If someone can figure out how to really stop these "people", I would like to hear about it.
