Got a call from this number twice already, but I've never answered the call.

dial *57 to send a call trace to law enforcement.

Callers claim to be Ann from Political Opinions of America http://www.politicalopinionsofamerica.org or other lies. If you contact them in any way, such as ''Take us off your list'' opt-out online or by dialing 1, 2 or 9 then you are instead validating that a human ear is responding to the Turing Test and placed permanently ON their SUCKERS LIST. The only valid information on their website is a regurgitated gallup.com RSS newsfeed, another trick to appear legitimate. Nowhere on the site is there a telephone number or address or even a way to engage their services = RED FLAG!
''Political Survey'' is their excuse to circumvent the National Do Not Call regulations. They claim if I take the 30 second survey I'd receive a free 2 day cruise to the Bahamas or a gift card. Truth is - hard sell of condo-timeshare! There are actually two scams here, the initial cold-call canvassers who get paid by reserving your ''free vacation +$185 port fees'', spend spree your credit card while the high pressure vacation rental condominium sales crew who trap you on a cruise from hell as they loot your vacant home.

I come home and see this number on my caller ID.  No message.  I don't owe anybody and don't want to purchase anything, if I did, I'd call.

they keep calling and waking me up.  noone knows my number but my wife.

I don't know who ths creep is.The pearson keeps calling me.I'm so sick and tierd of this person.

They want to know if you want to participate in a survey. I am on don't not call list and they still call

Telemarketer disguised as a survey. Just submit to donotcall.gov as they will be fined accordingly.

Got  a total of 4 missed calls to my magic jack #, later a call to my cell phone. Caller ID is out of is out of Astoria, Oregon, but that doesn't mean anything.. How do you get back at these a***oles?? I'd love to harass them. Oh, did I forget to mention: My home # was called as well per caller ID on a missed call. So that's three seperate numbers I get called at from 503-468-5986, a total of six calls.

This was nothing more than a come-on to pay for a cruise.  It was not a survey or a political poll because they required some sort of payment for their scam.

Also, aren't cell phones off limits for these types of calls?

I got a message from this and I'm on the do not call list. Hello my name is Ann from Political Opinions of America you have been carefully selected to participate in a 30 second short survey and for participating you will get a free two day cruise for two people to the Bahamas courtesy of one of our supporters. to begin the survey press 1 to decline the survey press 9. I let the call go to voicemail and then deleted it.

Do Not Call lists no longer expire.  Go to https://www.donotcall.gov/ and click Verify a Registration if you want to make sure your number is still listed.  Unfortunately, the Do Not Call list doesn't stop spammers and scammers from calling you, but if you get an illegal call anyway, you can file a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/ too.  The Department of Justice really does use these reports to convict these people!  They put "Heather from Account Services" in jail!

Noticed, where noted, all respondents were called on cell phone, TODAY, starting about 10 hours 39 mins ago.  Find that interesting.

I received a call from 503-468-5968 on my cell phone as well.  I have a number blocking app on my cell, so I blocked them.  If they call again...I won't even know it.

Just got called at 8:10 PM. It sounds like someone is using the political loophole to get around the DNC list laws in order to conduct a phishing scam.

Same here - just called me, no message.  Glad to see the posts here so I know how to respond if they try again.

I just got this call for the second time.  IT IS A SCAM!  First, you are asked to take a political opinion poll ... five quick questions ... that qualifies the victim for a cruise.  After talking up all kinds of cruise details, the caller finally gets around to saying that the cruise would take the victim into international waters and that a passport would be required.  Also ... an international registration fee of some kind is required ... the victim is asked for a credit card number.  Its a LONG winded thing ... lasts several minutes in description.   DO NOT READ YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO THESE FOLKS!!!!

Got this on my cell just now; answered it, no response. Damned machines.

9:50 a.m. (Central Time) incoming call from this number on my cell.  Did not answer it  No message left by caller.  I

I got a call at 4:13pm PDT from (503) 468-5986. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a vm.

DNC does not expire!  It's easy to report violations on the DNC website.

Got a call, no one replied and Hung up on me.

Same experience at 5:13 P.M. edt on my cell phone in upstate NY. I also did not pursue it.
