I got a call from this number the other night ... I guess those of us who are on the do not call list get these political calls anyhow .... and it make me really mad.  I didn't answer it because i don't know anyone in Astoria, Oregon.  That is where the caller ID said the party was from.  The closer we get to elections the more we will all get bugged by these type of calls.  :(

I received a call from this number (503) 468-5998 but I didn't recognize the number so I did not answer the call. (Caller ID info showed Astoria OR). When I did a search to check out the number I landed on this web-site and found out from all of you that it is scam Phishing phone call & I deleted the number. Thank you all for your posts.

I don't know who they are, but the call originates from Astoria, Oregon: (503) 468-5998. If it's a political poll, they are flaunting the Do Not Call Lists. I won't answer them, anyway, because political polls are worded in such an inane fashion, merely to manipulate the answers. They never have any substance, nor do they allow for complex ideas.

Got two calls within an hour. Called it back couple hours later and a recorded voice said the time had passed for this "survey", and if I wanted to be removed from future surveys to press 1, which I did.

Just got a call on my cell from 5034685998. I am on the DNC list and somehow, I too have been getting these unwanted calls.  They stated press one to participate.

I, too, called the number back after reading this site, and a recording said I had been called about a survey, and to press 1 if I didn't want to be called anymore.  Did that, and the recording said "you have been removed from our list" or something to that effect.  Thanks, people, for the information.  By the way, I was called on my cell.  Wonder where they are getting these cell numbers?

I also got a call, we need to stop them, else they will do it again and they will make money of others who do NOT want to receive these type of calls.

Call the number back and you have the automated option to remove yourself from their list...

So far by doing this I have not subjected myself to more calls...

I have done this for the past year for other calls from other numbers and it seems to work...

Got the "wake-up" call this morning from Astoria, OR. No message, just like everyone else. Glad for this and other similar sites that let you know it's a garbage call...although knowing that some outfit has my number is completely annoying. Especially if it's a robo-call and I can't even excuse them for at least giving someone a job. If it's political, it makes me hate politicians all the more.

This was a robocall call to my my cell phone.  Caller ID just said Eugene, OR, so I thought it was a business or personal call.  The recording said it was for a survey, to circumvent the do not call and autodial-to-cell restrictions.  Smart and deceiving.  I knew it was a sales pitch when they said I'd get a 2 day cruise for answering a 5 minute survey.  I waited and was instructed to press 9 to have my number removed.  Probably just confirmed to them that it's a real number.  I think the only way to stop these people is to go through the process, pretend to be interested, get a rep on the phone, play along with them and get an address and business name.  Then report the business to the better business bureau.  But that's a lot of work - where are the lawmakers?  This site should be a formal complaint site that aggregates complaints and goes after the biggest scofflaws with the power of the FCC.

Got call at 9:15 mst.  Everything im able to find says political call or survey.  I'M ON BOTHE REGULAR AND POLITICAL DNC LISTS!! Ridiculous that they can use my cell plan minjtes for this crap!
