Was a marketing company doing research for grocery purchases in my area- seemed totally legit. They didn't ask for any personal info, other than where we shop, why we shop there, what our household gross income range is, and what we like and don't like (through a rating system) about the local grocery stores we visit... They wanted to hear about my experience with Harris Teeter compared to Publix- The guy seemed nice, so I figured I'd do the survey

Just got a call from this number from Adelphi Consulting. They appear to want to do market research on grocery stores. I've done several phone surveys in the past and I am always told the company's name and that no sales will be involved.
This person spoke quickly and without preamble tried to get me to answer questions regarding my grocery shopping habits. It sounded like a scam/marketing pitch. I hung up.

This is an image marketing research firm located in Beaverton, which does market research for many large grocery chains across the USA. There is no sales pitch involved as they are not selling anything.
Definitely not a scam as they are a legitimate business and have been for more than a few years.

What I'm going to do is, I'll call them back tomorrow morning and yell at them to "COULD YOU PLEASE TAKE MY NAME AND NUMBER OFF YOUR LIST?" and "DON'T CALL ME AGAIN!" then I'll slam my phone at their ears real hard. I hate calls like that, they don't leave messages. It's soooo UPSETTING and DISGUSTING!!!
