For those of you who do not know yet the do not call list is a joke. Do not complain to them, They will do nothing for you accept collect your phone number and name for their own government list. The government is still laughing at all the suckers who signed up. The government actually refers to the list as a "tracking list". Dont feel bad though. Many people have fallen for it.

how do these fools get an unlisted cell phone

We have been receiving  calls  from   503-902-8127  &  503-902-8279, for about one month.  I am a member of the "DO NOT CALL LIST" but we still get the calls.  We don't answer,  which helps to save minutes.

same number, called me twice. No voice and hung up in 5 seconds.

It's a credit card scam! I answered it to hear a recording about lowering credit card payments, rates, getting all money due cancelled. I assume it's a scam because I don't have any credit card debt. I was given the option to speak to someone (press 1) or to place my number in "internal no-call list" (press 2). I chose 2, and was informed that it might take up to 5 business days. A few hours later, I received another call from the same number

Relentless, incessant calls from this number. I never answer but it's so annoying. How can it be stopped?

I receive calls from this phone number about the same time EACH DAY - I have asked EACH time for my number to be removed - most of the calls come from TOM - He chuckles each time and either hangs up or says yes.  Obviously if I'm at this website, after now calling and doing the "Press 1 option also" this has not happened! I want these calls to stop!

Called me for 2 weeks.  Some home security company in Oregon.  I have pressed 1 to be taken off list 3 times now and they keep calling.  When I answer, they hang upo on me.

Being on the Do Not Call list only prevents legitimate businesses from calling you.  If they do, you should report them.

These scam callers do not abide by the DNC rules.  Report them to the DNC every time they call you.  THEN you must contact your state attorney general's office to report the scammers, mentioning that you've repeatedly reported them to the DNC.

When the Atty Gen gets involved is when all the DNC records are actually looked at by someone (up until you get the lawyers involved, the reports are merely filed away for future litigation, should you pursue it).  

To recap:

The government Do Not Call list will not stop scammers from calling you.  You must report them to the DNC to leave a "paper trail", then contact the attorney general.  The atty general will then access the DNC complaint logs and advise you from there.  I forgot how much the fines are, but it's around $16,000 or more per illegal call, if I remember correctly.

Continually get these at all hours - waking my dying husband who's in pain.  They're from OR exchanges -  503 - with a variety of numbers and will absolutely not quit.  What shall we do when already on the "do not call list?!!!"  Maybe they're hungry and in the financial industry so we need to bail them out also - Groan

not long ago this number called my private cell which is on the no-call list.  I did not pick up.  Today got a call from 503-902-8997. Bet it is the same one.

I received a call from this no. @09:22 on Oct. 7, 2011 - did not answer.

Called to sell some? service related my credit card account.
They called my "Pay as you go" phone using up my valuable minutes!

Keep receiving calls from this number and considering legal action because this is becoming equivalent to harassment.

Keep calling my CELL phone, no one is there.

Same thing, called my cell and answered it and noone on the other end. reporting now.

Not sure who the caller is. There's no one on the line when I answer.

Missed the call this morning. Came on line to check out the number and I'm glad we have these bulletin boards

Got this call. I don't answer. I'm getting more calls and I'm going to ask AT&T to change my number.

I got a call too but no one is ever there when you answer.  No more answering from me and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.
