Caller ID said Unknown Name so I didn't pick up.  When my answering machine did, I heard a lot of noise in the background but they left no message.  And I, too, am on the Do Not Call list, so someone isn't doing their job.

Got a voice mail message from this number at 02:47 PM today.  I played the message and heard what sounded like a noisy room and then an immediate hang-up.  I looked up the number here and found these helpful comments to let me know who had called.

Calls......doesn't leave message.....hangs up and calls back....same thing everytime.

Called at 2:29 AM Eastern on Tuesday 2/9/10.  I did not answer the call at this hour that had a caller ID of "Out of Area".

I'm assuming it was same call both times. Called at 320am from unknown name unknown number then at 321am called from 5084633018 and no one would talk to me either time. There has to be a way to make this stop. I have kids in school and I get up at 530am, this is ridiculous.

This number called me at 3:40am and woke me out of a deep sleep. My first reaction is that someone in my family is in the hospital, so I answer. No one responds. I tried to call the number back at 8am this morning and the voice mailbox was full. If this happens anymore in the middle of the night, I'll be calling the police.

Called at 2:00am and hung up!

The woman with an Indian accent called with a Priviate Number. She said she was doing a survey on Smoke Detectors and had 5 questions to ask me. I told her it was none of her business and hung up.

Told them I was on the do not call list and they still call.  They do not leave a message if you do not answer.

Just got a call from them a half hour ago - they didn't leave a message, so I decided to look it up since it came up as an unknown caller

Private Caller.  Guy claimed they were a survey company calling about fire safety.  I answered the first couple questions, but could barely understand his thick accent & it was a very sketchy call.  Wound up telling him to take us off their calling list & hung up.

Calls in the evening .  I dont pick up and doesnt leave a message

They called me at 9:00. I didn't answer as the number was blocked. These sort of calls should not be allowed from outside the US. What's the phone number for Congress?

I kept getting a call from this number numerous times during they day, one day I finally waited until someone replied. She stated that it was not a sales call but a survey. She started asking questions about smoke detectors, I told her that I rent and my landlord would handle these questions..she replied "OH you rent...that completes our survey". I haven't had a call back in over a week!!!

This number called my home line as well as my office line last night.  Didn't leave msg.  We are on DNC list.  We live in TX.

Received 4 calls from this "service".  Noisy background.  First 3 calls about security alarms.  Then about smoke alarms.  He said he is from PSS - Personal Security Service.   Calls came within days of each other.  Annoying.

I have had several calls from this # about smoke alarms.  Indian caller got upset when I wouldn't give my name.  Asked them to take our Private listed # off their list and they hang up on me everytime.  I called ATTLEBORO, MA POLICE DEPT.  they said to call the local police and didn't want to hear about it.  But they should do something!  Their # is 508-223-2224.  I like what someone said early. Next time they call play your smoke detecter over the phone.

He called and asked if I did or did not have a smoke alarm in my home.... I asked him How many American homes DO NOT have a smoke alarm... he said none, it does not matter..... so I attacked him demanding Then Why did you just call me and interupt what I'm doing just to ask me if I have one????  He repeated that everyone has smoke alarms.... I just hung up on him.....

they called guite a few times now i get pissed the first time i told lady i wasnt interested in anything and she started yelling no no no no  I flipped so now they call i flip on them they wont remove my number

I keep getting these calls - different numbers but same call center - foreign (India?) guys taking a survey and asking if we have a smoke alarms. I keep telling them to take us OFF their list but they keep calling.  Who do we have to notify to make them stop??? Very annoying - they call all times day and night.

Also get these calls every few months or so; have been going on for at least two years.  SCUMBAGS keep changing numbers but M.O is the same.  All same details: Indian accents, rudeness, argumentative, LIARS claiming they 'aren't selling anything' but just want to 'ask a few questions' about Home Security.  WHY doesn't SOME LAW ENFORCEMENT go AFTER them on the grounds that they are behaving suspiciously as though they are trying to "case" homes for future burglaries.

BTW, Attleboro P.D will NOT take complaint over the phone; advised me to file complaint with local PD and have them "investigate" and "work with" or refer to Attleboro (If that's were calls are generated from), if they so chose.

If you are not registered with the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT's DoNotCall List, DO THAT!  If you ARE registered already, you should be registering an OFFICIAL COMPLAINT with them EACH AND EVERY TIME you get one of these calls.   Venting here is good, but filing complaints with the people who have the POWER to DO SOMETHING about them is far better!  If everyone here did that, the FEDs would be on their case by now!

I received a call from 508-463-3018.  The caller held the phone w/o talking or responding.

Tired of these types of calls.  So glad I have caller ID so I do not have to take them, but it is still annoying, sometimes interrupting what I'm doing to see who's calling.  So much for the "Do Not Call" program.  I agree that companies that don't comply should be prosecuted heavily, as that is the only way to get them to stop or put them out of business.  They prey on the lonely and elderly.  What a shame.

JUST RECEIVED THIS CALL @6PM MAR.03. DID NOT PICK UP. CALLER LEFT NO UNDERSTAN DABLE MESSAGE. HAVE BEEN GETTING A SERIES OF THESE CALLS FROM ALL PARTS OF USA. DIFFERENT PHONES NUMBERS. I AM ON DO NOT CALL REGISTER.

Seems they are in  "Attleboro, Maine"  I did a search on internet for area code 508, & then the 463 exchange.  I suggest complaining to the local telephone company in attleboro, or the attleboro police.

Has anyone tried to call them back? I got the call asking questions about fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, etc.

called twice after 9pm it was a foreigner.  hung up on him once and called back and called me an a@!$$
