Got a call from 15084751380 at 2:34 p.m. on Thurs, 12:59 p.m. on Fri, 4:48 p.m. on Sun, and at 10:30 a.m. today (Mon).........So annoying, cause my phone can't block callers!!!!

I keep getting calls from this number 15084751380, MA, USA. Its about survey and we can win two tickets to Bahamas.. strange. Is this a bogus number How do I find out more details. When I called back to find out who is it, got a recorded message that if I want to remove myself from this call list press 1 and the call disconnected. Can any one help me with more info please. I am in Ontario Canada

I get a call from this number maybe 1-3 times a month.  It has the sound of a ship's fog horn, followed by, "This is your captain speaking..."  That's where I hang up.  Today, I called the number back as suggested by one of the above complainants, got through immediately to a recording that offered an opt-out by pressing "1."  We'll see.

I understand that sometimes pressing any number serves to confirm that the calls are going to real people, thus refining the call list in order to increase its value as a telemarketing tool.  My office phone has an always-blocked outgoing call setting, so the number must have been gotten randomly.  Here's the catch:  How did they know my number so that the opt-out actually was accepted and took effect? We'll see.

The reason I don't pick it up is that they are calling my cell phone from a long distant number.  I only want my cell for emergency numbers and for my family.  I get charged long distance for the calls that I pick up, don't you?
If they are calling my home number I pick up...listen to the recording if I have the time, and respond to instructions for how to remove my number from their list.  I cannot do this for my cell phone.
I am also now getting emails that are made to look like personal emails that do not have a remove link.  All these things are annoying and harassment.

got  a call from this number on my skype-in line. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. i blocked it on skype and reported it as abuse

2 calls in 2 days. Answer, dead air, beep beep beep as it disconnects.

Really pissing me off. Tried the office of Kenneth that was posted earlier, dead line now apparently.

Received a call yesterday, Aug. 16, 2011, on our home phone yesterday.  We did not answer.  I called them back to find out it was a telemarketer.

This person continues to call my cell...

These people keep calling and when I answer there is no one there. It is annoying and wasting my time.
How can we stop this?
I did a search on this number and it turns up as a company...VERISON! The telephone company! Is it possible to send them this type of scam call? Of something worse!

just got a call from this number at work.  It rang once and when i answered, they hung up....can you say spooky???

They've called me multiple times in the last week, but because our company has worldwide locations, and it's a work phone I answered the first couple of times thinking it was one of our locations.  Stopped after that, and just realized what it is.  Very frustrating.

They've called me twice today, I am in Calgary (Canada). First time there was just dead air, this time, just now, I got a dial tone when I picked up. WTF?

This number has called my office multiple times as well hanging up when the phone is answered.  It's very annoying...Watch out for 508.475.1378 because this number does the same thing also.

Received a call from this number for 2 weeks now. It's not register and won't leave a msg on my phone. Bogus!

Why is it weird? Pick up and dang phone and you will see who it is or call back.
How is that for a novel idea instead of posting online asking who its from??

I've done more research, the president of the company is a mr. kenneth dixon, the main number to his office is 6177435742, there is also another number which is 6173289957 this company is based out of boston ma. The company is a billion dollar company, well worth any legal action for harassment

The company is verizon new england inc. and the state and city the calls are coming thru is westboro ma. I have recieved multiple calls and from this number and get the same as everyone else.currently looking for a way to take legal action against the company

Got a call from 5084751374 and right after that one i recieved another call from 5084751378.

11 calls in the last 2 days on my home phone.. as late as 10:30 pm est.. With this no call list in Canada (which is a joke) companies are outsourcing to the states to get around the law.. best advice.. dont answer any umber you dont know

It is definitly a scam I received 8 calls from it today. There was one around about 6 months ago that did the same thing, its very annoying.
