Call from this # blocked by my cell phone as it does not appear on my contact list. However, it occurs to me that some of these less-than-reputable boiler room scammers (let us be honest) are spoofing phone #s (which isn't that hard to do). In any event my solution seems to work.

I received the same call today, March 11,2014.  They said the same thing as your 1st sign...I hung up!

Card Services called - going to lower my interest rates. This is a known SCAM. These people steal credit cards.

HOW TO FIX - Lookup the number to see who the phone carrier is that owns the number. You can do this for free at www.number-finder.info In this case it was Verizon, so I called THEM and made them aware of the problem, and told them I would include THEM in my lawsuit that would include disclosing their clients name and address. Got another call from this same number 508-475-1394.  I was getting calls multiple times per day, everyday.  I filed had filed a complaint with FCC, FTC and with state on 9/26/2013 as I am on a state and federal do not call list.  The calls have started again for passed 5 days.  Caller ID shows "Financial Services".  I have tried calling the number back, just like the last time and recording states the number is no longer in service.  BIG SCAM trying to consolidate credit cards.  Filing the complaints again.  This is phone harassment.

EVERYONE turn these calls into the FEDERAL TRADE COMM.  Do this on all of the telemarketing call because the are all scams.  All they want is you private information, so they can get to your accounts.  Also turn them into  the AG of your state.

Got a call today morning (first time).  Didn't answer went to my voicemail but left no voice mail.  Called back no answer keep ringing.  

Will have to see if they call again.

Got two calls today, one from 305/368-8127 and another one from 508/475-1394. Both of them were some BS about lowering your credit card interest rate. I just hung up on the first recording. The second one I got, I hit the number, I think it was nine and got this low life a## hole on the phone. I told her what I thought of these low life telemarketers trying to scam people and what I thought of her. Can you believe it, she hung up on me! I have come to the realization that you can't stop these bums from calling you. The do not call registry means nothing to them. I have filed many complaints with both the FCC and FTC but nothing has or will be done.

Scammers trying to get seniors to give info on credit saying they are selling alert systems. Don't answer just scum trying to rip off seniors and elderly.

got a call from this number today.  Was a recording saying that they wanted to lower my interest rates on my credit card.  If you listen long enough it says that if you want to be removed from their calling list to press a certain number.  Can't remember which number it was but I pressed it.  Guess we'll see if they call again or if pressing does remove my number from their lists.

Robocall from "Jonathan" saying they can lower my credit card interest rate -- just press 9 (this time pressing 3 takes one off their DNC list -- supposedly!). I just let call end and disconnect. First time I've heard THIS message. Same scam, though.

Can't report ANYTHING to the government (FTC, FCC, etc.) until the Government Shutdown ends!  Check out the DNC site and you just get a brief screen saying just this!

Just received a call from this number. Caller ID read "Information." Did not answer, but message said something to the effect "...press 9 for this offer. If not, have a good day." Sounded like first part of message was cut off.

I am on Do Not Call List and I'm getting repeat calls from this same number daily. I have repeat asked to stop calling. I just now got another call, person calling wanting to reduce credit card debt.  I ask her for the name of her company and her name, she hung up on me.  I called back the number 508-475-1394, recording says number is no longer in service.  Reporting this to Attorney General office, this is a scam.

They will keep calling, have had them use different phone numbers. It is a scam, thought is to get information.Today, the woman hung up after asking for her name and address so that I could turn her in.Last time that I talked to an agent, he stated that as long as I have a credit card, he could call as many times as he wanted to and that I could not stop him. Having a credit card made these calls legal. I hung up then. I think what makes it so hard to catch them is that they route the calls through various numbers.

caller said they were offering to lower my credit card rates but refused to say which bank was the underwriter. I have worked as a credit analyst and every card co. has an underwriter. THIS IS A SCAM. do not give them any info. by law they MUST disclose who is underwriting them. they hung up when I asked this very simple and basic question.

If I happen to be playing music at the time of call I will put phone next to one of the speakers and "turn it up"  lol I'm retired law enforcement so I like to play with their heads and will sometime's answer the phone saying FBI Fraud Unit this is Agent (insert any made up last name here).  and advise them that according to Federal Statute number (make a number up) I'm required to notify them that the call is being recorded as evidence in the world court.  If they haven't hug up yet  start grilling them,  ie: caller's name, the real number before rerouting,  company name, supervisor's name and any other thing I can think of before they really do panic.  I also advise them that we are tracing the call's point of origin and just basicaly have a fun time with them.  For some reason they never want to call me back again. Hmm Wonder why.     The more defensive they get - the more adament you get.  If they start cussing and threatening you laugh at them and yell out something like " Hey Fred have they been on the line long enough?  Do you have all you need?"    The most important thing is just have fun at their expense,  it lowers your blood pressure and you get a good laugh and a story to tell your friends in the end.    Good Luck  Oh by the way no real law enforcement or legal entity will serve papers or tell you they are coming to arrest you over the phone.,  we don't want you to know we are coming!  lol

Got a phone call (12:20pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

These calls seem to come in waves for me. Nothing for a week or so and then 8 or 9 in the space of a few days.

Called, I did not answer, went to voice mail.  Called again 2 minutes later, not answer went to voice mail again. I do not answer these voice mails as I am on limited service. How do they know I receive mails from this area code? I have friends and family in MA. I am tired of receiving these calls, I am on the national "Do not call list", my state "Do not call list" but it doesn't seem to be effective. I have tried reporting the number but I do not know the answers to the questions & when I hit send I get a message that all blanks must be filed in. I have had the same number for 10 years with a wired phone, now I have a cell phone. Since I changed to a cell I keep getting 2 - 6 calls a day such as this. My carrier is Verizon
I do not know if this is true but I have heard many people with Verizon say they have this problem and when they changed carriers it stopped. I can't change without it costing me a lot of money as I have a 2 year contract. Verizon cell must have given out my number as when I had the same # with Verizon wired I did not get these calls.

I recieved several call from this unknown # but did not leave a messages. Couple of times i answer the phone and as soon as i said hello, the person on other hung up on me. Also one time i answer the phone the person the other was laughing and sounded he was talking to one of coworker and when he realize i'm listning he hung up on me. Now every 3 months i have to call verizon and put block on this number. Seems to me this business get some cick back($$$$) form GOV, all they have to show how many phone calls they made per day.
