Ramona 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
Did not answer. This is crazy. How could we stop those people from calling.
Sharon 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
I keep getting calls from this number with a recorded message saying "this is the second call..." something about the factory warranty on our car. We don't HAVE a factory warranty on our car!

Phone scam 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
Everyone, think why these automated phone scams exist.
I got four calls from 4 separate numbers yesterday. It is a scam by the
cell carriers to bump up everyones minutes. I only have 60
minutes per month due to financial constraints. You get an anonymous
call. ONE MINUTE. Caller leaves a garbled voice mail. One MINUTE.
YOU call back to check number. ONE MINUTE. You check your
voice mail ONE MINUTE. You reach a spanish speaking individual.
YOU talk to them. One or more MINIUTES. FIVE minutes per random call
generated by (from these phone log complaints) time millions of cell
phone numbers = HIGHER MINUTES and phone billings for the carriers!

I am on the national do not call list why are they calling me?
Diane 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
Got a call at work on my cell. Did not pick up, got a voice mail about my car warranty expiring. Same 'ole same.
Tim 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
It's a car warranty scam, the calls are actually coming from a tiny little semi-independent island nation St. Pierre et Miguelon off the coast of Newfoundland. In other words, it's just like the Nigerian email scams - only thing you can do is not respond.
Rich C 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
Left a voice mail about extending a warranty. I do not answer numbers which are not on my known list. I check voice mail via a land phone. This option is generally available on cell phones. If the call was important, they would leave a voice mail and I could call back. If the VM is a telemarketing announcement, I can simply delete it and I have avoided any charges.
Note: If you have been on the national do not call list for over 1 month, go to the web site and report it. The more complaints, the better the response.

Keeps calling but leaves no messages.
JJ 2011-06-06 20:50:07 Unknown
This number, 520-407-9017, 704-456-1307, and 702-520-1312 are all calling my cellphone, work phone and home phone about my warranty. I've added them to a contact on my cellphone called Do Not Answer. Don't answer the call, don't call them back, and don't tell them anything. These people are criminals looking to scam you.

Thanks for your posts, they are helpful. I was called twice by one from "Nevada" (deleted it) and one from "Alabama" (256-659-6931) both of which are states I am not from. Why do people have to resort to slimy, low-down tactics to accomplish something?

Got another call from these scammers. I get calls almost everyday now on my prepaid cell from different numbers that I don't know. Today I got 3 calls from 3 different numbers. I only give my cell number to friends and relatives.
