So no, he does not have a valid contractor's license. Go back to the first page of this thread for the low-down on Nguyen's operation. It's not pretty. I've already blocked several of the numbers he uses. None of them are real. Nguyen, like other shady telemarketers (the robocall is illegal, by the way) uses software that provides a fake Caller ID, and they change that number at will.

How can I stop this person from calling me daily???

This is a telemarketing call for home energy upgrades. They call several times a week.

They call almost every evening and since I'm screening my calls they hang up when the answering machine begins.

Now they are saying they represent "Utility Savings Group" a non-profit promoting PG&E rebate programs. When asked about their organization they hang up.

Have reeived calls from 510-868-0461 for several weeks now - usually in the afternoon hours.  We are on Do Not Call registry.  However, crooks do NOT care to check the list.  AND these people are shysters!!!!!!!

I have received many calls weekly from this number ( 510-868-0461) No msgs left. Can calling a ph.# , then using that number to call another number be done? So that my number would be charged?

If you have caller ID on your phone, you may be able to block these messages. Look under the save menu (seems contradictory, but it isn't). If you follow the prompts (the choices to do one thing or another) you may find you can "save" these numbers to be blocked. Numbers that are blocked ring once but are blocked after one ring. Now I wait to hear if there are at least two rings before I get up to answer the phone. I hope that this will discourage telemarketers from calling. I also reported this number to the No Call list.

The best way to get rid of all these calls is to purchase an Ooma system. You will not pay phone bills and by paying $10/month for their Premier service, you can block anybody you dont want to be bothered by. I am not connected to Ooma. I am just a happy Ooma camper, especially when it comes to things like this.
