This man called my husband yesterday - from the above listed number, saying he was "Johnny Smith" from Cash Advance USA. Said if we did not give him $500 he would sue us for $7000! Also threatened to have us arrested. My husband has high blood pressure and this call totally stressed him out. Wonder if there is anything legal that can be done to stop this man!

Received a message from this telephone number at approximately 1:05pm, at my place of employment. The man identified himself as CHRIS GARCIA. He message stated that I must return the call and don't disregard this message. He had a heavy accent and seemed to stumble over his words.
I do not take these people seriously at all. I receive this message at least, 3 times a week, I am not returning the call. They cannot even threaten you with confidence, because their grammar is so despicable. So, I just disregard the message.

I got a phone call just like the others on here. The first one came real early this morning, at 4:24am local time. Just like the rest of you said, this guy had a strong foreign accent. I was angry with him because he woke me up long before daylight! I told him, "what are you doing calling me at four in the morning?". He replied, "there is a serious problem with your social security number and there are serious legal consequences". I told him to f off and hung up on him. On this first call, his number was blocked and what showed up on my caller ID was "000-000-0000". I have my blocking set to not accept unanimous or blocked numbers, so I'm not sure how that call got through in the first place. Then he called back a second time at 6:48am. He called from 510-894-7833 and I didn't answer the call. He left a message on my answering machine, which I now have saved. It was the same guy, but this time he gave his name as "Carl Anderson". He sure didn't sound like an "Anderson". To be totally honest, I kind of got the impression that this guy might be middle eastern, because of his accent, and also, just like mentioned above, at the end of his message he said something like "God Bless". His accent was really heavy, so it was difficult to understand everything he said. He said he was from "Law Firm", but didn't give the name of the law firm and he didn't say "Senders". His message sounded like he was threatening me, and he said I needed to call him back immediately and that there were serious legal consequences. I turned on my recording device and tried to call him back, but the number will not ring. When calling the number, there is nothing but silence and it does not connect to anything. I am wondering - could this be Al Qaeda?

he basically read my miranda rights to me and when I asked where his office is located, he said New York
I'm really tired of these calls -- I have to change my phone number, however they have my email address and ssn (is what scares me) identity theft...OH NO!
