got this call at 3:00pm march 9th no one at other end. i do not know this call from calif.

This company has been robo-calling my home phone (answering machine) repeatly for months. One day I pressed *69 to obtain the number they were calling from, wrote down the phone number and called them back.

It took a moment for the call to be transferred to a "live" person, who wanted to ask me questions about my credit card. Well, instead of answering their questions, I simply asked "What is the name of your company" and they promptly hung up on me.  

This is NOT a legitimate company, or they would have answered that question.  They think they are above the law, because they have been getting away with this.

They must be Phishing for identity theft.  Don't fall for it!!  Beware!!

Got a call from "Card Member Services" so they said, of VISA & MASTERCARD. When I asked for more information they hung up.

They say they are I get this call AT LEAST 5 times a day.  I have repeatedly asked them to stop and that I am on the do not call list and the man told me... "the do not call list does NOT apply to us so we can call whoever we want" and when asked his name he told me his name was Sam Adams (as in the beer company)  I am sick of these jerks and I don't know how to get them to stop.  Can anyone help?  I am on the do not call list and I have threatened them repeatedly.  After I told them off the calls just got worse and more frequent.

Received two calls from this number in two hours.....no message left either time. Glad to hear that some of  you folks figured out who it is. Now if there was just a way to stop them!

From what I have been able to put together on calls from Credit Card Services or a like named company, they use a Robo caller from numbers like the ones below:

The source of your number on their list seems to be from the 3 Credit Bureaus and the Direct Marketing Association. Credit Card Services buys a marketing list from the Credit Bureaus and DMA then harvests contact names and phone numbers from this list. They cannot get account numbers on the list, but you are on the marketing lists if you have some kind of credit to be listed (Home loans, credit cards, phone bills, electric bills, cell phone bills, etc).
You can opt out of the marketing list with the Credit Bureaus, it takes a month or so to take effect. To do it, log onto:

I also use the call blocking feature of my wireless carrier to block calls from Credit Car Service. Every day I add new numbers to block from this company.

Recorded call wanted to lower interest rates

Who or what do we need to do to get someone to stop these slimeballs from calling? I'm on this website usually 3-5 times daily because I get these calls everyday and NOT from one particular number. I thought the DNC list was supposed to eliminate these calls and instead I've been getting more and more everyday. Our legislators need to get together to close any existing loopholes in the list or pass tougher laws on these low lifes in regards to these calls. Maybe we should complain to the phone companies. After all, I pay them monthly for what? To waste my time answering calls that don't pickup, leave phony messages, ask for personal information, and outright lie about the reasons they call. I can think of plenty of ways to spend that extra money if I didn't have a phone.

i recieved 3 calls from this number  just today, and they continue to call. please stop these losers.

Funny how I continue to get "THIS IS YOUR FINAL NOTICE" phone calls from this number!  When I "press 1" and ask how to be removed, the fellow told me he gets asked that question a thousand times a day, then hung up on me!   Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  When I call the number back I get a recorded message that the person is not available now, please try again later!  I agree with Rich... A**HOLES!!!

Everyday at the same time they call my cell. This has been going on for the last week and a half  its pretty irritating!

I am on the Do No Call list and i keep getting phone calls!

I have been getting calls from this number very often and all I ever get is a recording about lowering my credit card interest rates. Whomever is doing this should be arrested.

They are calling from another town in my state.  Total waste of my time.  Cant call back and they wont leave a msg so I know who they are.

I also got multiple calls from this number despite being on the Do Not Call registry. When I ask to be removed from the list, I get hung up on. I have filed a complaint with the registry and suggest you all do the same.

Called my cell phone twice today, at 10:53 am and 1:36 pm. WTF? First time I hung up. Second time, I stayed on, pressed one and told the man who answered to take me off of their call list. He said "I'll do whatever you want" and hung up. Nice. I am on the no-call list and I am SO annoyed that this keeps happening!!!!!

I asked to be removed from the list and the guy that answered just hung up on me.

I to am tired of receiving calls after I sign in with the do not call registry. They are trying to steal your identification. Call the FBI and report them.

After not answering American Inst Cancer for the last three days (using three different phone numbers) I just got Cell Phone TX on caller ID.  I know it's the same a-holes using different numbers.  As if I'm going to pickup the call because they changed the name and number on caller ID.  And to those who think blocking the calls going to help, these jerks that call are spoofing their numbers which sends false information to your caller ID.  That means they'll use another number to get around the block.  May cause temporary help but not permanent because of all the numbers they can falsify.  They know they can't be traced which is why they're so brazen and like to play games with the people they call.  The only way to stop them is for the goverment to outlaw spoofing so scammers can't falsify any data sent to a persons caller ID.

I have resorted to pressing 1 and cussing them out, since they hang up on me any time I ask to be removed.  I also report each and every call from these morons to the donotcall.gov site.

How do I block this type of call. There have been so many!

Keep get automated calls from this number. I have opted out several times and I am on the do not call registry, still keep coming. So I spoke to a person and asked to speak to a supervisor and he said I did not want to do that so, I told him I would contact the Attorney General and the BBB in my state saying that they were harassing me, since I have no credit card and his reply was go ahead and do that.

I get these calls occasionally and I LOVE pressing 9 to connect with a person, then I sit there and totally waste their time asking a bunch of really stupid questions and giving them fake information. (They do, so why shouldn't I?)  Then after a few minutes I just hang up on them mid call, the way they usually do to us.  It's fun for me, I have the time, and I figure the more time I spend with them on the phone is time they can't spend trying to scam someone else.  Haha!  Keep them coming, Rachel, keep them coming.

When to tell them to add you to DO NOT CALL list, they slam the phone down. SCAM!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number and it said "cell phone" TX. I did not answer, and I'm glad I didn't after reading some of your posts. I need to find out how I can block these numbers!
