512-404-1292, received their call,
saying their calling on the behalf of a government agency to provide
a job offer as some insurance form processor.
But I thought it was suspicious that they didn't first identify themselves,
or the government agency they were working with.

I received a message from this number, 12/5/07 Offered job opportunities as a Government Insurance Agent working to refund FHA insurance claims, told me to press 1, if interested. I did not, I hung up to investigate.. I figure the government would not offer jobs via such a bazaar method.

Got the same call from 512-404-1292 (Caller ID: VOICE TEXT) Dec 11 at 1:29PM. A recorded female persuasive voice said about a work-at-home job (paying upto $38K as a refund processor) to contact people from a list who have paid off their mortgages and now due for a refund. Asked for a $69 for an "Official Orientation Package" to get started. Anyone out there who might have persued this to the end, successfully or not, please let us know of the outcome.

Recorded message looking for Government Insurance Refund Processor. Processing HFA Refund notices to Homeowners. You then need to call 971-285-3130 to hear a recorded message. Don't give out your information for calls like this. Scammers are always looking for new ways to get your information. If you are looking for a job, use the right resources.

This number belongs to VoiceText Interactive, Inc in VTI's voice mail/voice-on-demand trunk group. Gorilla Marketing Group has been renting this number and VTI had no idea that Gorilla was using the nunber as a caller ID with a voiceblast. That number was programmed for incoming calls, only, so the blast was not done with that telephone number. We have contacted Gorilla and 512-404-1292 is now an inactive number. Since we do not know who Gorilla out-sourced to do the voiceblast, VoiceText has no control over future blasts, but can only hope the blasts cease.

January 22, 2007
We recently discovered that one of our customers was using our voice mail service inappropriately. Thank you for the person that contacted our office and alerted us to the problem. It appears that they have been dialing people on their own and illegally using our name along with a voice mail telephone number that belong to us but was assigned to this customer for a monthly fee.
Voicetext is a global provider of audio and web conference calling services. We stream live and on demand multimedia. As a value added service we provide voice mail, rebroadcast lines and fax services. Our services are mostly inbound services that callers dial into a line with free will, not the outbound telemarketing type that this client was doing on their own and putting our name as the caller ID. Again, we've shut down this account as soon as we discovered what was happening.

Got a call from 512-404-1293 - When I answered the phone, there was a pre-recorded message offering me a job re: FHA mortgages. I have blocked telemarketers, why am I getting these scams? I hung up the phone after I heard the recording, and them asking me to be connected. I knew it must be a scam.

I called the number back and they give you another number of 971-285-3130 then you can press 1 to speak with an op. they said that I signed up for "work from home program" (which I never did) and that’s how they got my number. Op. # 095 "Norma" said that the name of the company is GMI Enterprises and they get contracts through the gov. and that’s how they are able to "spread this wonderful opportunity around". After I got done laughing at the script she was reading from I told her to take my number off her list. She said she would, but, I just got another call from that number.

I just got a call (2:53 Pacific) from the same number. I called the 971 # above, hit a 1 and spoke the the 'manager' on duty. Got the same line mentioned above and that they got my number from a form online. I have never signed up on line and I told her about this forum saying it found it unlikely that so many people have mistakenly given their phone number. Someone is lying.
