I have received several calls lately to lower all my credit card interest.  Sounds really good really low.  Of course they want you to give them you CC number so they can check it out.  This is just one of the numbers that they have called from 401-242-9150 is another.  When I tried to call the numbers back I get a recording of not in service.

called 6/14/11 AM, call rang out, no message left.

Got a call at 2:45 A.M. looked at caller ID,did not know the number did not answer. Was POED..

called on cell. didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. no message left.

I finally dialed the number to talk to them, got someone was very enthusiastic until I said I was calling to tell them to stop calling.  Hung up.

No message left.  Tried calling it back.  Get a recording "your number can not be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again."

Called the number back and it was a disconnected number.

Automated call from "Account Services" to my cell phone on June 14, 2011 at 3:34 PM Eastern. Call was dropped so I never had a chance to speak with a representative. Received the same call from a different Texas number last week. Obvious scam is obvious.

Repeated calls to my cell phone.  I knew it was a hoax because I don't have credit cards.  I stay on the line and wait to speak with someone.  When I start to tell them to remove me from their call list or ask them which credit card they are referring to, they hang up.  This has happened 5 times in the past several months on my cell phone, and just the other day on my home phone.  I recommend filing a complaint with the FCC their website...or buying an air horn and blasting their ear drum the next time.

I didnt answer since I didnt know the number. No message was left and when I tried calling back (from a different phone) I got the phone company recording that the number was disconnected or no longer in service. Two co-workers were called from unfamiliar numbers and were told by the caller that there was a problem with their credit card information. They told the caller to remove them from their list and the caller refused and continued to call...until one of them filed a report with the attorney general and told the caller such. She has not heard back from them since. Might be worth a try if you do decide to answer the call.

Same as many others.  (512) 501-3637. This number not only calls my home, but they have somehow obtained my cell phone number and call it at least 5 times a week.  For what ever reason the "do not call list" option only blocks certain companies.  They have told me that this is the final offer to receive the lowest possible interest rate on my credit cards "which I don't even have" and to press #1 to lower my rates. Yada, yada, yada.  When I called the number back, the recording said "your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and call again." The only credit card I have is linked to my checking account.  Nice try whomever you are.  Pretty sure my bank is not selling my information to you. There should be some way to keep the cell phone companies from allowing our numbers to be bought by these idiots.

Bogus caller

Have received at least 7 calls from this number in the past week!  ANNOYING!  pre-recorded msg telling me "Congrats! I qualify for lowered interest rates on my credit card." press 1 to speak to rep. I pressed 1, got Travis in "account Services". I told him to stop calling and was in mid sentence teloing him I am on the Do Not Call registry. He hung up on me! Called the number back immediately and got a "call cannot be completed as dialed" msg. sound like they did an answering machine msg so you can't call back - doesn't sound like any phone carrier error msg I've ever heard from a legit company!! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!!!! Report them to the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.

These b*****ds are nothing but scammers.

I get so many similar calls from different numbers. I never answer them  & they leave no message.
I hate these people.  I have call blocking - but  the limit is 10 . I could probably enter about 25.

I too received a call from 512-501-3637 at 10:57 (eastern time) today 6/14/11. I am at work and was unable to answer the call.  No message was left.  After reading all of these comments- I am very happy that I was unable to answer this call...I hope these people can be stopped!

I was getting a lot of these calls at one point until I just stopped answering them and let them go to voicemail. After a week or so they stopped. That was a few months ago.

I got one just recently and answered it before I thought about who it was. Now they are calling me again every couple days - I just let it go to voicemail again.

I think the trick on this one is to just let it go to voicemail and don't answer. Their auto-dialers realize after awhile that no one answers so they stop calling. Granted it's not guaranteed but at least it may stop them for awhile before they circle-around again.

got a few calls from this number today.  I didn't answer and when I called it back the operator said it was not a working number!!!  I don't know who these people are or why they are calling me.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone, i guess cell phones aren't beyond these telemarketers now.  Credit company to help with credit debt.

This number has called me several times on my cell phone. It is an automated message insisting that this is my "final notice on this great deal to lower my credit card debt." The first few times I hang up during the automated message; this last time though I stayed on until it asked me to press 1 for a service representative. When the rep answered, he did not reveal the name of the company, just asked how I was doing today....I said, "I would like to know how this company obtained my cell phone number & why I am receiving unsolicited telemarketing calls on a number that is registered with the federal no not call list." The man promptly hung up on me. When I called back, I got a recording saying that the call could not be completed. How can I get these calls to stop?

Report calls from this # to the FTC as it is an identity theft attempt.  I was told that by someone at the FCC and then filed a complaint withe the FTC.

They keep calling me. I blocked the number - but receive repeated calls from this and similar numbers. Glad to know they are from an identity theft ring. I stayed on the line after listening to the recording. As soon as I asked to be removed from the call list, they hung up.  When I try to call the number back, it just rings busy.So I've been sending them thousands of texts with the same message:
Notified police. Expect a visit from the FBI soon. (along with some other choice adjectives...) The texts are going through - so even though I couldn't call them back...

Also, reporting them to the FCC for sure.

Got a call from this number, oh, about the 131st call from credit card services (alleged company name) from all over the US and going back for years.  This time was different.  I punched one for the helpfull operator and screamed FU you are a ripoff and hung up.  I IMMEDIATELY got a phone call from a California number, a guy complaining that my "agent" had been disconnected from our phone call.  So I yelled the same thing at him and hung up again.  He called RIGHT BACK (from the california number (209)216-4138 complaining that I was rude to him!  My husband answered and so far this person hasn't called back.  My husband was rude to the poor little darling rippoff artist as well.  This phone number "cannot be completed as dialed"

I've been getting repeated calls with no voicemail left over this past week. It looks like from what other folks are writing that it's a telemarketer or possibly worse. Here's what I've been doing. These two websites are used to call your own personal phone if you can't find it or if you need a reminder of some sort. I've been entering in this 512-501-3637 repeatedly and they will just keep getting automated untraceable calls from these websites...fighting fire with fire so to speak. It's free. Got a phone call just now from this number. The first thing I ask when I get a call from a strange number is for them to identify whom they are and what company they are associated with. I was promptly and rudely hung up on after querying the representative with my opening questions.
