I received a phone call from 911 this afternoon...When I answered it was a man with a very thick accent that I could hardly understand stating he was from Sullivan Law Firm and that my Name and Social were involved in defrauding an internet loan company. He would not give any information, asked if I knew why I was being sued. He insisted that I pay $600.00 today in order to take care of the matter. He left me the call back number 512-588-7158...Thanks to all for posting this scam...Hopefully people will look before they give this man any money

Have you reported this to the Federal Trade Commission.  We are receiving these call at the office and I have spoken with the "real" Solomon Firm out of Houston and they told me that they were aware of what was going on, but since these creeps are out of the country it will be hard to catch them.  The local PD just left our offices to take a report so we can file with our telephone company.  On Feb 16th, they called approximately 20 times in 45 minutes because I would hang up the phone when I heard his voice.  The last time he call he said that his name was Ron Washington and I asked him to send me session tickets to the Rangers if he was the real Ron Washington which pissed him off - no calls after that.

Same thing happening to me, calling about some internet loan which I would never do over the internet, period.  Same threats, sueing for fraud, police will arrest me, etc.  I don't even answer their calls anymore.

This is the third different phone number over the last four or so months that these same guys have called me from. They call me on my cell phone, claim they have a judgement against my SSN, but they cannot give me my SSN or explain why they are calling on my cell phone instead of my home phone (publicly available). Strong Indian accents with classic Anglo names. Evidently phishing for SSN's and from the sounds of the backgound noise from this last call, they evidently have an entire call center fast at work on it. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office online--easy to do and definitely recommended.  Thanks for the information everyone and for looking out for each other.

Yeah I got the same call I worked telemarketing for years I know a scam when I hear one. I asked the guy nicely to remove me from whatever list he had he said I was being sued I said "contact me by mail" he had no reply he yelled for me to stay on the line while he transferred me of cousre I hung up then someone else called saying the same thing and asked if I had 2 minutes for him to explain I said know take me off your list and hung up. If they are going to try to scam you would you think they would use people that actually spoke english?

I received four phone calls today from this number. He left a message on the first call.  They said that I was being sued and needed to return his call immediately.  He also said the company suing me had my social security number.  The man's English is terrible.  He said he was representing Sullivan Law Firm and his name was John Parker. The second call there was no message.  The third call I answered and informed him that I knew this was a scam and when I receive paperwork from Sullivan Law Firm I will look at it.  He said it wasn't a scam and I needed to take it seriously.  He asked me if I knew why I was being sued.  I informed him I couldn't even understand most of what he was saying because his English was terrible and he obviously was not in the United State.  The fourth call I picked up the phone and told him not to ever call this number again and hung up.

Recieved phone call approx. 5:58 pm - was left voice mail that I am the primary suspect, along with my social sercurity # about "loan something" . . . very very bad broken english - definently NOT American . . . was told if I didn't return call ASAP, that I would be arrested & I would suffer  . . . what, the message wasn't explain on HOW I would suffer . . . I decided to phone back, was put on hold for a moment . . . I was asked if I was who THEY thought I was . . . my response was . . . could be, maybe . . I asked who this was & why the phone call was place . . . They asked me several more times if I was who THEY thought I was . . . I didn't tell them who I was . . . after the fourth time I questioned them on WHO they were & WHAT they wanted, they hung up . . . lets see if they call back.
TOTAL SCAM . . oh, at the end of the voice mail . . it was in a chipper voice . . HAVE A GREAT DAY . . What a crock.

tell your local police. it is a huge scam!!! don't tell them or send them anything!!!

Got a call from this number the cops are on their way b/c I have an debt with PayDay loan. I told them I NEVER have went to one of those in my life. Ya, they are of Indian decent. I told them I can barely understand you. He said stay home the cops are on their way and will explain. I said "Whatever" and hung up. Not answering the phone # from these jokers anymore.

My mom received a law threat from this number. Some guy with a deep indian accent told her that there was a lawsuit agansit her and her social security number. We called our local police and they told us to just ignore it. JUST A SCAM!!!!!!!!!! IGNORE IT!!!!!!!

I recieved a call from these guys today. Ignorant basturds do not know how its done in the united states. So I called them about 40 times just to f*ck with em. I dont think they will be calling back any time soon. Glad for the website, hope no one falls for this crap.

I had an incident today where this man with a foreign accent called me stating that someone took a loan out in my name and if I didn't pay $500 today, they would send the police to pick me up and I would be behind bars for 8 months. My auntie took the phone and told him that she would have her lawyer call him. He hung up and we have not heard from him since. SCAM!!!!! DONT BE A VICTIM!!!!

Thank God for google! I arrived at work in the morning to receive a phone message saying that I was being sued too and that the return number was 512-588-7158! I called the number back several times, but no one ever picked up. I am so grateful for all the posts so I can rest assured that this is a scam!

Said they were a law firm representing Quik Loan ? and that we owe them a bunch of money and we had to send them a bunch of money today or else they will have the Police come out and arrest us. We didn't give them any information.  They wanted and insisted I give them my social security number and I did not.  I hung up and they never called me back..

I just received a call from this number and could not understand a word that they said except that I was being sued and I needed to call them back immediately.  I know now not to answer any calls from this number.

I hung up on them then added them to address book with "do not answer" so won't give them the satisfaction of getting an answer ever again.

they called about 4 times a day and left message.  couldn't understand them, asked for someone english speaking.  after they told me what they wanted, i told them to prove it and f*ck off.  haven't heard back from them.

I got a call today that i borrow $400.00 from US CASH LOAN in Sept 2007.I never done this ,so what can i do about this?

They just called me but these guys had African accents.  Said they were from the Federal Trade Commission.  I told them they were not because I would have received paperwork not a phone call.  Said they didn't want the police showing up at my door and ruin my Christmas.  Perhaps in Africa that is what happens when you are sued but not here in the USA.  Told them to send the police and hung up.  Feel sorry for all the people who fall for this scam.

Terrible scam about owing an internet loan.  Said we were being sued by a law firm in Washington D.C. Would not tell who company was just said I was reported to our local police and they were on way to my house to arrest me for a fraud.  Were going to sue me and my social security #.  I never give that out.  Again, had a terrible Indian accent and hung up on me twice,  A detective friend told me to call this # back and that we have the FBI involvedl  We did and "click"
