The Milton guy just called us, was really rude too, but he was in for a bit of a shock as we tape all calls, legally.

After his call, I looked up the phone and found this site.  I have since taken the link to this site and the phone call, and forwarded both to DPS, and it is really important that you do the same or else when DPS finally traces the phone number to the real location of the call center, then gets the data of who is really behind this, they can go after them legally.

Without you folks calling in or emailing and giving your info to DPS, we have nothing but this webpage to stand for what is going on, and the worst part is these guys are taking money telling it is for our boys who lay their life on the line for all of us each day.  It is really sick, so I do believe if enough folks forward data to DPS, the will look into this.  The DPS site contact page is here: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/contact.htm

PS.  Non Profits are not supposed to call someone on the do not call list, but if they do accidently they are not procecuted, I had seen someone at this call center told one of your folks such, perhaps calling attention to this event will help lawmakers change the backdoor telemarketers are using to scam us.

3 police officers (1 retired now)  in our family  (brothers, sisters, cousins)   Eldest, and retired, said "do not donate to this group. " "They are a  fraud-- "    They just keep calling  . I recognize the man's voice.   Today he called my by the wrong name!!   Guess he had 3 names up on screen "sucker's list",  start talking to 1st one that answers .(is what they are told  --And he just read wrong name.!!!   So tiresome

I started a job for a place called the Texas Highway Patrol Association, and quit the first day.  They are a scam.  They take money and don't give a cent to anyone but themselves!

Actually I work for the thpa and we do cover all dps officers who were killed in the line of duty regardless bout amount or percentage we still aid them with a 25,000 dollar relief death benefit fund and "mr. I just received a call from this so-called person... caller Id read THPA.  This guy was extremely rude.  If you are associated with any professional organization it is common sense personal information is not released, especially being a "jack wipe" like that.  Don't you know you get more bees with honey!!!  And what era are you from... Pager???  Get a clue.

This is the TX Highway Patrolman's Assoc.  Extremely rude on the phone and despite saying we are not going to donate based on how rude they are, they keep calling. Ironic that the caller ID says, "TX HWY PATROL A**" AND NOT "ASSOC".

his name is MILTON BROWN and he was extremely rude and hung up on me. he just wanted to know the owners name and wanted to speak to him and i asked if i could take a message. he just rattled off his phone number and said he needed a favor, and then hung up on me. what an a**.

I just received a call as well from this number. I when he hung up on me I called it back. He then hung up on me again after I saying I had the wrong number. When I did the reverse search it gave me nothing. So I called the Texas Highway Patrol Association and asked to speak to someone about this rude phone call I had just recieved, I was given a number to call to speak to a Steve 877-381-9370. I told him of the call and gave him the number he said he would speak to the caller. I told him I would never donate to their company as long as he employed rude people. I also told him that we were on the no call list. He then told me that non profit organizations are exempt. Go figure!

These guys keep calling me too.  Now that I know their number I can block it from my phone.

Mr. Brown just called and rudely said "WHO IS THE PRESIDENT OF YOUR COMPANY?!  I NEED TO SPEAK WITH HIM RIGHT NOW!" He was rude and hung up on me.  We won't be calling him back whomever he is, especially if it is a "donation" scam. I'll put my money in the boot!

I've donated to this organization for the past couple of years.  They just called me this morning, and after I told him I didn't have any funds at this time, if he could bill me or call me back in a couple of weeks, he quickly said 'thank you' and hung up the phone. I don't think I'll ever donate to this organization again.

Milton Brown just called our office and asked to talk to the owner.  I told him we were a corporation and he asked to talk to the president.  I said he was not in and he said, "give me  his cell number!"  I said that we don't give out his cell number and he hung up on me!.

He didn't say who he was with or what he wanted.  Rude man.

This guy just called from this number saying he was Kelly Ware. He was rude & demanded to speak with the owner of the company. When I told him the owner was not here, he demanded a cell number, which I would not give him. He was so rude, argumentative, and an overall a**.
I don't think he really works for the Tx Highway Patrol. I'm pretty sure this is a scam.
