Collections for hospital bills, for another person....

They called and left a message on my cellphone with a ref# and call back#. I returned the call and they asked for address and phone# to verify identification. When i gave it to them they where trying to collect an old medical bill from Presbityrian Hospital in Denton,TX.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with this problem..

Got a call from them today on my voicemail. They had my full name and that if I was not the person to hang up. And since I didn't "hang up" and I was "supposedly listing to the call" that I acknowledged that I was the person they were calling.

This is a digital voicemail - not an answering machine. How are we supposed to defend our rights with these calls.

I just tried calling over there blocking my phone number and there is no answer at all - not even a voice mail, it just rings and rings.

This number called me at 8:00am. I didn't recognize the number on my caller ID so I did not answer. They left no voicemail so I looked up the number on the internet and found this site and many others regarding this telephone number. Who are they and how do they get our numbers?

Just received a call from the number, asked for someone I do not know. A few minutes, I called back, just a answer machine there, so I hang up again. I really dislike this kind of harassment.

I got a call from this number at 9PM last night. The person who left the message could not be understood due to an incredibly thick accent. Couldn't tell if they disclosed reason for call or not. From what I could tell, they didn't leave a reference number just a phone number that I couldn't understand. I did call the number back last night - it was answered Customer Service and asked for a reference number or extension number. Won't be trying to contact these folks.

I just changed my cell phone number yesterday and I only gave it out to my friends and family already on my contact list. My phone number is also private for the reason that my brother borrows my phone and I don't want his friends calling me back. I also give out my home phone number and not my cell phone number, unless I need that person to contact me directly. I called back, but I only got a, how do you say it, programmed operator. Sucks for them that I missed the call.

I got the same stupid call. The same rude lady calls me several times a day even 9-10 pm or early in the morning like 7am on Sunday! asked for my dob and address. Anyone has any idea of how to remove this call?

Calls but leaves no message on answering machine. Shows no name on IDcaller. Also calls on cell phone with the same way. Very tired of this, starts early in morning and all day long.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone asking for my first name.  I then asked who is calling and was told Financial Corp of Am.  They asked me to verify my information such as ss#, address, etc. I asked why they were calling I was told that they couldn't tell me until I verified my data.  I don't have any accounts nor ever had any accounts with this company AND have never defaulted on any account  - and I find it foolish to provide personal data to unidentified persons. So, I declined to provide that info, hung up and contacted my cell phone carrier to report the phone number as harrassment and requested the number to be blocked.  I also pulled my credit report.

i am receiving calls from 512-719-7550 at home, work and even on my cell phone. who are they and how did they get all my numbers?

512-719-7550 called me said i have an acct with them but would not tell me anything unless i get me my personal info like full name date of birth and ssn. i gave them just my name and they would not tell me anything

Got a call from this number, looked on here to find out it is FCA. No not to answer now cause they are a bunch of losers according to this website's commentary

someone called my job. I called back to see what they wanted and they stated that they don't have my name on file. They asked me ror my social and I did not give them it. I need them to stop calling me on my job.

called and ask for me and told me to verify my address and my birthdate and they would tell me what it was and i would get a letter  i would not give information and she hung up but before that she stated i will note your account. they called my cell phone

I got a call from a snippy woman at this number stating she has some important information that just came across her desk for me, but couldn't give it to me without me verifying my address and dob.  I told her she was crazy, and that I would do no such thing, she then even went so far as to say can you just verify the number of the address on such and such street.  I asked if she was crazy and who was she and what does she want.  Of course she said she couldn't tell me unless I verified the info.  So I said goodbye and hung up.

Female caller asked for someone with my first name but not same last name, not me, just told them that they had the wrong # and they said thank you and hung up.

I got A call form this number After 8:PM I have to get up at 3:am and go to work the lady said she would like to talk to jean ? I ask what was it about she would not give me any info. just said to call the numbet that she was going to give me and the ref.# when I call the number I get a recorded massage saying to hold on for a representative. I put the phone down.

512-719-7550 Just called me and I didn't know the # so I let it go to my voicemail.  I then got online and googled the # and found this site, so I won't bother calling it back.

This is FCA trying to collect a debt on a defaulted subprime credit card that you or someone with your phone number used to have.

I have been getting several calls asking for a jean... I have no clue who this Jean person is, and I'm getting very angry!

1/29 8pm Financial Svcs? asked for me by first name, said she needed to comfirm address and DOB, she had important info for me.  I said ok, what do you have.  Lady said couldn't do that, wanted me to tell her.  I said next you will ask for my ssn. She said she had my ssn already, she needed me to give her my address, dob, etc so she could confirm it.  I told her no, I don't give out that info to strangers on the phone. She got kinda tacky, said she would mark the file to call back in 2 weeks.

The person called my home around 8:30 pm. She asked for my son. When I asked who's calling him, she got so rude and asked several time to give his phone number. I told her I was his father and then she became more rude, and rude and then she hang up. This woman needs to take elementary education before working for this company.

I keep having calls to my cell phone from this number, I don't give my cell number. And they dont tell me who the want to speak to.

this number is used to just call and, in my opinion, harass us. don't know the number & don't respond to unknown name calls so let phone go to voice mail.  then they don't leave a message.  it's all just harassment for heaven only knows what

Same as above. Got a call from the #, I answered it on my cell and then the call ended.

Financial Corporation of America has called twice asking for someone who does not live here.  Tried contacting them, but stay on hold and no one ever answers.
