These calls have been around forever. For those curious about which carriers are getting hit, mine is Tracfone, so I think the calls are just computer generated and not purchased from any one source. As far as the FCC goes, that is a joke also, complete waste of govt money. They don't do a dang thing about these calls, even when you file a complaint. If they don't know who is the user of the number, there really is nothing they can do. They can notify the carrier, but all that happens is the carrier disables the number and the scammers get a new one. I don't understand people who get caught in these scams. There have been warnings for years and years to NEVER give out your personal info over the phone, especially if you did not call them. I can understand seniors who are not aware of all the new technology, but most everyone else knows better. I am glad there are sites like this so those who question a phone call, letter, email, etc. can check it out and keep themselves safe from phishing. And other callers are right-if we quit answering and talking to  them, the calls will cease. As long as they have a captive audience the calls will go on and on. Be cautious and stay safe, and don't respond to those calls! If it is legitimate and they can't get in touch with you, they will snail mail you. After all, if they know you or do business with you, they will have your address.

Just got a call from this number.  They did not leave a voice message.  I will not call them back.

Received a call from this number at 16:35 EST on my cell phone, I didn't answer, no message was left. I checked online first and due to this site I've now placed them on a block list from a downloaded free app that I won't advertise here, but it's readily available.

This number called wanting to sell us services for our business, I asked to be put on their Do Not Call list and they started yelling at me.

Scammers with a cause

Claiming to be credit services, they were offerring 6.9% interest rate for my credit cards as long as I had over $3,500 in credit card debt. They attempted to obtain all of my credit card numbers, so they could add the balances together. Because my debt was less than $3,500 the caller said he could get an exception from his manager and to stand by my phone as I would get a call within 30-40 minutes. Out of a magic hat, he handed the phone to his manager and they provided an exception instantly and proceeded to say just get her information. The next question was the kicker ... please provide your banking information... unreal. They are trying to get people to provide their routing and banking numbers from any check and claiming they cannot use the details to charge anything to my account without my handwritten signature. If anyone knows online shopping/billing/payments, etc. you can use a persons routing and banking number to make purchases in various ways.

After I told them I was not interested in the offer, they began to beg, shout I would be losing a good deal. I hung up.

Within 3 minutes, I get another call this time from a number in Nebraska 402-909-5728 .. It was the exact same person now trying to convince me to proceed with the 6.9% interest rate offer. He stated the main office is located in Florida and they have call centers everywhere, but how does one jump from Texas to Nebraska in 3 minutes is beyond me. They all sounded like foreigners with a cause to destroy people's finances and not help.

Stay aware and alert, this is modern day phishing!

Got a hang up.  BTW- I have U.S. Cellular as my carrier.  If they sold my number (on a list), we will be having words!!  Just wondering if it through a specific carrier, those of us getting calls.

Received a call today I don't pick up call if I do not recognize the number. There was not voice mail either. I Googled number and come to this page.

This number called and didn't leave a message. I called the number back and received a "All circuits are busy" recording. I called again and received a "Your call did not go through, please try again later. 089T".

Just received an automated call from this number saying they could lower my interest rates on my credit cards. Said to press 1 to talk to someone and press 2 to discontinue these calls.  I hung up.

Didn't recognize number so didn't answer.  Robo call left message about lowering interest rates.  Added number to my Android's Call Control Android app blacklist so they can't get through using that number again and now I'll be moving on with my life :) .

got the call today, didn't answer.   No message.   Checked here first.   Does not answer return call.

Same with me.

Received a call from this number saying they were Card Member Services and they were calling in regards to my Visa or Mastercard. Something about lowering my credit card interest rate. I have one but not the other. I said I would speak with my card company and hung up

I'm on the national no call registery and I'm getting calls from this number.

Total scam. They want you to give them your credit card number and once you do they charge you some outrageous fee. Once i called them out on being a scam they called me stupid and said f*** You. How professional. Sorry I didnt fall for this.

Beware, they act nice and professional at first, but all they are doing is phishing for information.

Was sleeping in on Saturday morning, so had my phone set on vibrate.  When I woke up, I noticed I had a missed call.  Checked it out and it was this number.  No message left.

Received a phone call from this number about five minutes ago. I did not answer.  Instead, I googled the number and was lead here. Thanks for the information :)
