SCAM Suitelife vacations,YES IT IS A  timeshare, the  trips or  packages are bound to so many restrictions that is almost impossible to make use of it, certain dates and you pay for admin fees(almost the same price of the trip itself) the refreshments are not worth the drive and the 90 minutes presentations turns out to be more like 3 to 4 hours of hard core sales. Don't waist your time.

It's a scam, they tell you to go to Woodbridge and they will serve you refreshments and quick presentation about the company, you are there for 3 to 4 hours on a hard sales scam and in the end the vacation they promised is a lie, you have to pay for activation and administration fees, total cost $300.00, God knows in what kind of hotel, don't waist your time. They tell you just sign and you can cancel in 2 weeks, don't do it, you will never get a hold of anyone again, this is a big scam, can't believe still going on.

Maybe telling me I won a trip that I signed up for???  Very poor connection with background noise and I had difficulty understanding the caller's "English."  Asked for me by last name and was wanting to confirm my address.  Living in Canada right now so I guess telemarketers are getting desperate everywhere!  Luckily there's a do not call registery here too, unfortunately I waited too long to register our current home number!

if you use phone banking or customer service most banks now funnel their calls directly to India. could be why they know who you are and where you live.

i received similar calls to everyone elses. In Ontario canada ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE operates phone busters.try calling them and complaining. These people might be trying to tag an elderly person for money.

I would document these calls and submit the information to the F.B.I. especially where violence and/or sex acts are being threatened.

The reason you can not call back to these numbers, and/'or it displays lack of information or you can not call back because it is out of service or number not in service is because these numbers have been hijacked. You can call out but you can not receive calls.

The best recourse is to keep a whistle or air horn handy and every time these people contact you give them a good blast., barring that I bang the receiver down on the desk several times (don't do this with cell phone obviously).

These calls can also do a charge back to you for long distance calls. This scam ran back in the 90's. you would call the number and be advised you won a trip. Then when you receive your phone bill you were billed $5.99 per minute for long distance charges.

They could also be doing this to obtain personal information and to confirm you live at that address and have that last name to enable them to clone your I.D.

I have been battling the man at this number ALL day! He kept calling trying to speak to my mother was very insistent that he speak to her and not me. I kept probing him, asking him all kinds of questions that he REFUSED to answer. Finally he hung up on me when I kept asking him his name and location. When I redialed his number I got the same "goodbye" message as many of you did. He called FIVE times throughout the day and kept hanging up on me. Finally the last time he called I gave hum an earful and told him that we weren't interested in his scam. Really? Like my parents would apply for a vacation package to Nigeria! What a joke. I told him that it would be to his advantage to stop calling & that I will be reporting his number.

So tired of these calls

Received a call from this number at 8:55.  The person started talking and I said "calling me again", his response was "I've never called you before". My answer was siren blast from a megaphone.  Strange - he hung up. lol
Then I received call at 8:57 on a 000-000-0000 (im suspicious) so I just picked it up and hung it right back up.
They call again I'll have my megaphone standing by.
They don't show respect for my not wishing to get phone calls from them, then i don't respect them.

"Roman Adam" called me - very strong south Asian accent, admitted calling from Texas and said I had filled out a ballot at a shopping mall in North America and won a trip (I never fill out these things!) and I told him he was a scam artist and that I would report him.  I am on our National Do Not Call list in Toronto.

1:47 pm 05/26 2012 This j***off tried calling my home also.  I really wish a-holes like this would just drop off the face of the earth and leave good hard working honest people alone.  They have such pathetic lives that they have to piss around with other peoples reality in such a negative way.  They truly are the bottom of the barrel scumbags.

I got a call from this number at 5:41 pm CST on May 18. A man with an Asian accent and barely understandable English called me by name and told me my street address. He said his name was Harry and he was from Gurnee, IL. I asked him if he were calling from Austin, TX because of the area code and he denied it. He asked me if I received a postcard in the mail with a car key taped on it. I said I had but had thrown it in the trash. He said I was one of 150 winners in this contest and that I would win one of three prizes- two of which were a Ford Explorer and $10,000 dollars. I told him I wasn't interested and that I could barely understand his English. Then I hung up

They called looking for a Miss Jensen or something. I advised them it was wrong number. He repeated the number he dialed, I confirmed yes, wrong number. Are you sure no one in the house enetered a global travel contest. Im like uhhh, Im the only female in this house and I dont care for global travel. Keepin it safe in the homeland Thanks!  And I politely ask them to remove the number from the data base as there is no one here who has a reason to speak with them. He then says, hey, your Tara arent you?  duhhh!  seriously in the amount of time you had me on the phone, its not hard to click a few buttons on a computer and find out what name goes with the number you just called.  Now, I am angry so I tell firmly tell him to never call my number again and then a few other things I will not repeat. All the while he is saying but your Tara arent you? Youre Tara right? And he as well had an indian accent.

Got the same call with Indian voiced male stating that we entered a contest and that we've won a free vacation.  Same call twice this week.  Told the guy that this was a scam and stop calling.  We'll file a complaint but it probably won't work.  He said he was from Austin, Texas and he worked for Simple something.  What a bother for everyone.

The Do-Not-Call List is a joke.  Only reputable call centers use this and those aren't the ones that are causing the problems or that it was meant for.  The Do Not Call list is not monitored or used unless there is a crime.  Otherwise, it is there just to appease consumers and give them a feeling that they've done something to stop this.  But you still get the calls.  I've filed reports, complaints, and have all my numbers on Do-Not-Call and still get these calls.  Our government is a joke when it comes to protecting consumers from predators like this.  They are about as affective as reducing these calls as they have been with reducing our national debt.  These telemarketing people are going to call until they're finished with your area and another person gets your name from the database of names that they buy from people.  Want to stop these calls?  Get your name off the information databases.  Here's one such place here.  http://websearch.about.com/od/dailywebsearchtips/qt/dnt0730.htm

Search information databases for others.

They are obviously spoofing the number they are calling from and giving a phoney number  That number they use is out of service.  They called twice last week and today twice in an hour.  I picked up the last time, discussed with him that he needed to seek help for his mental problem for him to be calling people like this and not to call me any more.  It appears to have stopped the calls.

One trick is to tell them to hold on and just lay the phone down and walk away.  They usually stop calling after 1 of 2 of these.

Again I have received a call from this damn number.

I live in Canada and want nothing to do with them.

I just wish they would go far far away and never return.

They are a pain in the rear end.
