keep getting calls from this number and answered once, but got no real reply, just background noise. they never leave a message, but i just got a text saying "please call"...

Got a call three times from this number and it hangs up on me!

Do what I do, tell them that they are calling the offices of the FBI and state that you are a special agent.  After about three times they get the message.  They do not want to talk to you, they want to leave a long voice mail that will eat up your minutes.  They treat you bad so turn the trick on them.  

They do not know for sure if you are the FBI or not.

This number keeps calling my cell phone like 5 times a day, and they always hangup when i answer or do not leave a message. Also i tried to call number back to no avail, isn't that considered harassment!! Anyone know how to block this number or who the hell-o they are..maybe i should start callin them 4 times a day!

This number calls 5 times a day with nothing..I owe a student loans but damn if they want their money stand in line.....Atleast answer so I can tell them to quit calling....

Ugh...These people call all the time. For once I answered (by accident, I was expecting a call back from a friend so I just picked up) and the woman said something about a contest and eventually ended up trying to sign me up for some magazine subscriptions. After she rushed through all of that, and sent me to her supervisor to give her a good review, I realized that she did indeed have my address and name and told her supervisor that I'd rather them not send this stuff. She was rather snippy and angry, and hung up on me.

But I called a previously mentioned number (513-727-9531) asked for Premier Publications (or something like that) and a woman answered and confirmed it was indeed their number. I told her the situation, and she said she would remove my number. She also said no order had been placed under my name (I tend to check for things like that...magazines can be sent easily) and she was very polite. I hate telemarketing, but I do try to deal with these things best I can. If they call you, call that number and simply ask to be removed. Being nice, even when you're annoyed, probably works best. People are people.

they always call and when I catch the call they always hang up.  This gets very tiring.

So, this is not the first time I've gotten calls about magazines and sweepstakes and such.  The first time they said that I was such a valued customer that I came up as a recommendation for this particular promotion.  I said that I wasn't a magazine subscriber and have never paid for a subscription(I did start recieving Better Homes and Gardens that I didn't order and then started getting delinquent notices on my supposed account though...) They then asked if I had a credit card and I said no, not in my name.  Then they said, how about a debit card with a visa or mastercard symbol on it.  I told them no, that I don't use them.  They said ok and hung up but now the number has changed and the story is the same.  Once I said that I wasn't me, that I was a babysitter answering the phone and they asked if I wanted them to switch the name on the sweepstakes entry to mine.  Of course, I said no.  This is so ridiculous and I'm so tired of it.  Are people so totally incapable of doing a little honest work these days?  I've already had to put a fraud allert on my credit report(which was easy and free, by the way- all you have to do is call one of the three big credit reporting agencies...)

Just stop already!!!!!  The calling is getting out of hand and it needs to stop.  I have more importanat things to do than try to answer this number and I get no reply!!!  Is there any way this can be stopped??

For the last week I have received a call from this number every day. Not knowing the number showing up on my cell phone, I don't answer it. I did some background research and found that the number is a land line from Middletown, Ohio.

As other people have mentioned, yes, this is a magazine solicitor. Also, as mentioned previously, although it's annoying that they have your phone number, call back using the number 513-727-9531. This should take you to Premier Publications. Talk kindly and request your number be removed.

Yes, it's quite obnoxious receiving calls from a number multiple times without a voice mail being left but try and get removed so you can move on with your day.

was called from this absurd nummber that comes from OHIO! i have no idea why they're calling me... first they called me and i picked up, said hello and they said "hello is this..." (and they knew my name) first of all: how the BEEP did they know my name, and two: why are they calling me?!?!?!?1 i've never done an online survey.. and i don't have a credit card cuz i'm 10!! so i called back.. got a busy signal three times.. called back again, they picked up and said " hello is this..." again?? i hung completely mortified.. so strange..

I just received a call from this number, like most numbers that I don't recognize I didn't answer the call. When I called the number back to verify a message the number was busy and I couldn't get through. I don't understand how these people got my number, what they want, or how to get rid of them,if you have any suggestions I would like to hear them.
