I contacted Gateway's head office at 1-866-482-7711, dialed 0. The receptionist answered and I asked her to please remove my telephone number from Gateway's call list. Note: They however use an auto dialer so I doubt there is a call list. The receptionist was polite and assured that my telephone number would be removed. We'll see.

I am on the do not call list and must admit my nuisance calls are way down.  Today I received a call from 904-863-0203 but didn't answer.  A minute later I got a call from 514-667-0069.  Again I did not answer.  Coincidence - wonder if they are related?  It seems strange to rarely get a call and then to get two nuisance calls within a minute.

The Gateway International idiots again. I get their calls a couple times a month. Recorded message for some weight loss product. I'm quite pleased to see the company and the phone number are actually Canadian for once. I'm on the Canadian do not call list and it's useless for nailing telemarketers outside Canada, but these morons are in Quebec.

After reading all the comments above, it seem that you people really have nothing better to do. I was call by this automated survey and pushed 9 as was requested on the recording for REMOVE FROM CALLING LIST, I know its on the recording and yet non of the above ideots even think of doing. Instead, we have people that are bothered because they are vin the middle of lunch.

PS- I hear that thier diet product really works. I may just call them and try it out.

Yet Dave here you are yourself.. If you want to try their product.  1. Why did you remove yourself from their list?  2. Why are you on this site to begin with? 3. Then after saying you read peoples commments, how you missed the ones stating these people calling them several times after being ask not to?  

If your going to complain Dave.  Make sure it's against the people that deserve it. (which is why we are ALL here) to the Cold Callers and telemarketers.

I called back the caller id number and got a recorded message, looked up the office number and called in a complaint as I am on the do not call list.  Obviously these people are adhering to it but I left a msg saying to take me off their list... we'll see if it works.

Dave is probably FROM Gateway ... wants everyone to press 9 to have their number removed??? Yeh right - that just tells Gateway ... hey, we got a LIVE one -now we can pass that number onto all our affiliates.  I bet he still believes in Santa Claus too.  

I think the Do Not Call list is a joke.  All you are doing is posting your number on the internet for the entire world to see ... and is an open invitation for all spammers to call you.   Why not?   You just PUBLISHED your phone number!

I called the 1-866-482-7711 number today. I wanted to get some info on their web advertisements: yellowpagelisting.com. The lady seemed quite helpfull, but there is no web page. She said she would look into that. I found it quite strange that their web site doesn't work. She claimed they have a few such web sites. She did not give any other names.

Got a call from 514 - 667 - 0069.  When phone quit ringing ...put the number on my personal 'blacklist'.
Call your phone company. They may have a program in place whereby you can inhibit  ANYONE from calling you!  This can be done by phone number or even the last number that called you.  The company I am with has such a program and if I do get a telemarketing call, I simply wait for them to tire of my phone ringing and then add them to my own 'blacklist'.  Hardly a call to bother me anymore!  You all ought to try it!!

Do not answer the phone when you see this number OR as Andy Rooney suggested answer the phone, wait for the person to come on, then after they ask to talk to you or homeowner say one moment nd set the phone down. After you here the beep beep beep when they've hung up you can hang up. It's their long distance bill!!!

I received a call from this number . it was a recording . said he was from Gateway and asked it anyone in the house needed to lose weight wanted to try a sample etc....
I live in Windsor Ontario.. I am on the do not call list but  have been getting calls from different phone numbers in the last couple of weeks... not sure how I can stop them

they keep calling my 90 year old mother at 10pm & 11pm ever second night!
this is getting all of us pissed off.

I have reported them to the CRTC...they tell me that there is presently an investigation and police charges pending. Report them to CRTC and phone busters, the more complaints the quicker they will be shut down.

I have put their head office phone number 1-866-482-7711 on my speed dial and whenever bored I dial it non stop and harass their people or just sit and gladly wait on hold and ignore for a while and call back over and over as it costs them money every time you call on their toll free line....juvenille I know but it makes me feel better and it is proving to be very interesting entertainment when bored bouncing around their various departments and wasting their time
