i don't appreciate your calls my number is on the do not call list

This number has been calling me for the last few days.  I have just used my wonderful Block Number option of my I-Phone after reading the posts.  Just wanted to let you all know this number continues to be active and annoying

You guys can quit complaining. Congress set up the "do not call" registry but exempted charities and political parties from the requirement.  They want to be able to call you and ask for money or your vote.  You can't do anything about it. All political parties call.  This just happens to be a republican outfit.

This IS NOT from Republicans. It is either a scam  or set up by Democrats to piss you off at Republicans. If they tell you you won a free cruise, it is a scam.

When you call back, that's telling them that you have a number they'd likely sell to someone to place on their robocaller to sell whatever!  If you just ignore them or block them they'll go away eventually!  I have a blocker on my phone and I NEVER answer a call from anyone I don't know!

person called 4 times in a few hours. I called back and a lady answered denying that she called saying she had been gone all weekend. She said this number is for emergencies only and denied calling eventhough my caller ID showed her number 4 times --on a Sunday too.

I am receiving numerous solicitation calls. Suggest you do not answer.

I would REALLY like for this number to STOP calling me it is very annoying nobody talks!!!!  STOP calling if there was a way to block i would because im tired of getting calls 3 times a day when nobody even talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called the Norwalk, IA. Chamber of Commerce -- they are totally embarrassed by this idiot that has set up this automated political survey -- it sheds bad light on an otherwise very nice Iowa town!!  

I also called Windstream -- the phone company that owns that exchange number (981) they claim there is nothing they can do about it legally.

The best you can do is call your County Voter's Registration office and request to have your phone number removed from your registration information.  Phone numbers are NOT required information to be a registered voter.  This, and make sure you put yourself on the national DO NOT CALL registry that manages other types of solicitation calls -- apparently, our government has made themselves exempt from this "do not call" registry.....Really!?!?

This may not prevent calls that are already on an automated phone list for THIS YEAR -- but, hopefully taking your number off of your Voter's Registration will help prevent your number from being picked up for future political campaigns.  Good Luck!

Is your group aware of the political do not call list?  It's a valid list and you should reference it on a regular basis.

i get calls all the time from this number. but when i try to call back it says its a non working number, or leave a message. how can it do both? want to know where its from and how to block it.

How do you get them to stop???  I have left messages which they totally disregard. I am receiving 5-10 calls a day from them. To whom do you report the harassment?  No more generic political calls and surveys!

I agree with you. What some people here may not realize is that Pres. Obama has signed a bill to put the US under martial law, thus totally overriding the Bill of Rights, and making himself DICTATOR. As proof, if anyone doesn't believe me, they should look it up on Google.

I make some of those calls. If you answer and nobody is there it is not us. We are all (for the most part) very polite and are just trying to fight back the media. But, like I said, what you all are talking about doesn't sound much like us...We just do a quick 3 question survey. I hope you all consider the grave danger this country is coming upon. The economic struggle this is going to have on all of us...Ron Paul has those economic solutions...

I get it daily around 6 pm also.  Just started the last two weeks; never leaves  a  message.  From Norwalk, IA.

This number called my cell phone 11 times in 2 months. I responded to the ring tone with a "Hello", waited 2 seconds and when I got no response, I hung up. This leads me to think this is an automated caller

Is there a service we can subscribe to that can call back the number that is calling us to jam all of there phone lines up so they can't call anyone anymore?

They are calling me a couple times a day and it is eating up my cell phone minutes.

Tracked down the national campaign headaquarters number for Ron Paul's campaign Headquarters Phone (Toll-Free):

1-855-886-9779.  I called the number and talked to a nice young lady who said they do have a phone number in Norwalk, IA and would remove my name and number from their list.

These jerks call us often. Getting tired of these jerks calling. I am on the Do Not Call list but these criminals seem to don't care. Why can't the government presecute these bums.

We have been getting calls daily from this number for weeks.  My wife finally took the survey thinking that it would stop the calls.  That did not work.  We just had two calls within the past hour.  That did it for me and I called the nation headquarters and the local Iowa headquarters of the Ron Paul Campaign.  They told me that the phone calls are not coming from them.  They were going to investigate and try to find a source.  I think this is coming from some "wack job" right wing liberal group who is trying to make the Ron Paul campaign / Republican Party look bad.  Based on the comments I am reading, it is definitely working.  I know I was angry as hell myself when I called them.  Folks, we have to realize that there are some real nut cases (individuals and groups) out there who take their liberal politics seriously enough to do something as low-life as this.  Now that I have talked to their campaign people, I personally think this survey is phony and is only meant to harrass.  If I could find out where this number was located in Norwalk, I would make the drive down there to confront these idiotic misfits personally.

Sick and tired of these illegal calls from Republican politicians. Call multiple times a day and it bothers me!

Unfortunately dialing a phone is not a criminal activity and you can't prosecute stupidity...
