Supposedly Lou Diaz from "Brookville"...my guess is he changes his name by the minute.  As with others, asks for someone in the company by first name but hangs up when I tell him that person isn't in.  

Received a call from someone asking to speak with the president of our company. When I said he was in a meeting he asked for his cell #.  Said that his cell phone was lost or stolen, he wasn't sure, so he did have my boss's cell # because it was in his phone.  When I asked who it was he said "Steve Rooney" and he needed to speak with my boss.  I asked what it was in reference to and he said that he just needed to speak with him and I asked him for his # so my boss could call him and he said he wouldn't be available until after 4:00.  He asked for my boss's cell # again so I put him on hold, called my boss and was told he had no idea who this person was and my boss asked me to give the guy his email address.  Before I could get back on the phone "Steve Rooney" hung up.

Call FINRA or the SEC and file a complaint. That should get their attention for a little while.

Called a few days in a row and asks for "Roy"? Told him must be a wrong #.

got a call 12/9/13 from a John at Brookville Partners asked if my boss was in, by name, said he wasn't in could I take a message politely said his name and company nothing else. looked up the number and found this thread. Looked up Brookville partners in New Jersy and found a company by the same name and same first 6 digits of their phone number 516-349-0300. called woman answer and I asked if they mad cold calls and she initially said no but when I said, "Then you should know someone is using your name to make telemarketing calls with a number one off from yours" she then said something like "oh ya, we do make some calls what is your number I will have it taken off." I gave it to her, they have it already, and she said I wouldn't get any more calls. I don't know if it will work but this is what I found and if the internet is to be believed (possibly) then this is an investment company you do not want part of. Good luck.

A very agressive man called from this number labled NEW YORK demanding for our President's cell phone number.  I  asked  if I could just transfer him to his office.  He said "oh he's in", I said yes.  When our President didn't answer his line, the man zeroed out and he reached me again.  He again rudely asked for our President's cell number and told him that unfortunately our President would have to provide that for him again if he lost it. I told him I could page our President.  I asked him what was his name, he stated Steve Roonie.  I asked the purpose of his call and he said he was a personal friend.  I put the man on hold and paged our President.  When I took him off hold and informed him the President wasn't responding to the page and  would he AGAIN, like his voicemail box.  He mumbled something and then hung up on me.  I could hear in the background other solicitors making outbound calls.

A man named Jim called from this number and was extremely rude to our operator. When the owner got on the phone "Jim" began with racial and homophobic slurs because he would not listen to his sales pitch - extremely bizarre - and he will probably call again tomorrow!

The guy is a maggot and yes it is a scam.

I get calls like this all day as I work from home. I got on some list to have every schmuck from NJ and NY call me so I will give them my money to invest.  It is always the same BS line, we spoke months ago, or we sent you some information.  What?  you don;t remember me?  This is their way around the spam phone call laws.  Tell them to F off and let them know the fine with the FCC is 10K and that you are reporting them.  At least you get some satisfaction.  

My advice, never answer the phone when the extension is 0000 or from a private caller.  The Government does very little to fix these problems.

Received same call(s) as all other posters.  He asks for "Bob" by name.  I tell caller, one moment please.....and leave him on terminal hold.  Since I can't make him go away, I at least get to torment him a tiny bit :)

I'm Sharon from june 21 and they again called my work. Asked for owner and said he was from Brookville. I told them him the owner doesn't take solicitation calls over the phone and to take us of his list. He said he would. (I guess we'll see wont we!)

I just sent a message to the company.  There was a voice message from this # 516-349-0000 - the person didn't realize that the answering machine had picked up and he was having a conversation with someone about drugs!!!!  Absolutely horrific!  They better not call again or I will blow up on them!

Got this # over my cell phone, but didn't answer since I didn't recognize the area code, etc...and any number that has 4 0's is suspect to me anyway. Whoever it was left no voicemail either. But from the previous complaints looks like it is back and dialing again!!

Guy calls asking for Boss by first name. I tell him he is not in can I take a message? He then says give me his cell # again, like I had already given it to him before. I hung up! I get this call all the time. I can tell by the area code it is him again so when I have time I answer in different accents and mess with him, he gets very frustrated!!! Try it sometime, its good therapy if your having a stressed day!! LOL

Called again, asked for owner by the shortened version of his first name. I told him to hold a minute while I pulled this site up. I picked the phone back up asked him who he was and he said some name that I can't remember now, could be Tony, Jim whatever. I asked who he was with and he mumbled something, I said "what was that?" and he said Brooksville. I asked him what that was and he mumbled "investment firm" very fast. I told sorry he ain't in and hung up. I didn't have time to mess with him but the next time he calls I will make sure I have a minute to pull what Titus Kanbee did. That's hilarious and I have the perfect number to give them. Feel free to use it yourself (it is a scammer telemarketer's number) 315-633-4050.

Have called my number several times and never left me any message. I don't and will not pick up any numbers that I don't recognize.

OK here's the scoop - I got the call this morning asking for the CEO by first name like the rest of you.   I keep a daily log of all phone calls and happen to keep a list of annoying telemarketers, their names, and phone numbers. Today Tony with Brookville called again asking for ?Tom? and I pretended to be preoccupied and said one moment please, but didn?t put him on hold. I lifted the phone and said ?Patrick something isn?t working properly and my phone keeps cutting people off.? I went back to Tony and said Sorry Tony I?m having a bit of phone issues. ?Tom told me that Tony with Berkshire Hathaway would be calling him today and that I was to give him his cell number. Are you with Berkshire Hathaway?? Of course Tony said ?Yes.?  so I gave him the phone number to another telemarketer and after making sure he got it  I said ?Good bye Tony sorry for the confusion with the phones.?     Made my day!

Just got a call from this number. They guy was SO RUDE! He asked for my boss and I told him he was not in and refused to leave a message. When I told him I was not sure when he would be in he told me I was bad at my job and started laughing at me. This guy is a jerk. I'm actually good at my job since I won't connect an a** like you to my boss.

Got a call from Walter.  Same arrogant type call; acts like he is buds with the boss. When I told him the boss was on another line he asked,  "Can you give me his cell again"  When I told him he wouldn't answer because he was in a meeting.  He said, "I thought you said he was on the phone"  He acted like he caught me in a lie. I said, "He is on a conference call." Anyway he refused to leave a number or any message.  The company phone number is: 516-349-0300, thier website is http://brookvillecp.com .  Perhaps many complaints to this company will make them stop.

I just picked up the phone, someone said something along the lines of "I've got a lion on the line." then hung up.  What?  I checked here to see what was up.  Glad he didn't stay on the phone.

Called and asked for the owner...asked who it was and he told me was from Brooksville investment...I asked him pertaining to ?   oh he knows me...well I don't have you on my list of known aquaintances Sorry and hung up.
