Calling my cell phone unsolicited.  I am on the do not call list

Thanks. I knew lightpath was the provider but they never left a message and I of course would not answer the phone otherwise. now I don't have to.

I just called the do not call # and left my number...it says it may take up to 30 days to appear on the do not call list.  In the meanwhile, I will be ignoring this number.

Am getting the same name on the caller ID from another number 631-393-3106. It is Cablevision telemarketing. According to their website you can call 888-425-2088 to get on their Do not Call list

Just call back and tell them to put you on a do not call list.  They stopped calling after two days.

i get call from this number every half an hour, do not know them, never leave messages....

Calls received daily.  No messages left.  When answered - no one there

The caller does not leave a message, but calls daily.  I never answered because I do not know the number.

Since I got the cablevison service, I got called from this number daily, sometimes the caller Id is hidden, but I'm sure it's from the same caller . It's so annoying. Is there anything I(we) can do to block the calls.

10 calls from this #.  fills up my caller id, they suck

OH MY GOD WHOEVER IT IS IS VERY ANNOYING!!! I THINK IT IS CABLEVISION... THEY JUST NEED TO STOP CALLING!! OBVIOUSLY IF WE DONT PICK UP, WE R NOT INTERESTED N THEY SHOULD STOP CALLING!! WELL THANKS GUYS NOW I KNOW WHO BUGS ME ABOUT 5 0R 6 TIMES A DAY... MAYBE EVEN MORE!!! =)

It may be a programmed call to Cablevision customers of Online or TV and they are trying to pitch Optimum Voice; a number is dialed and if there is a pick up a customer service rep can talk to you, unfortunately sometimes the rep has not finished the previous call and they let the call go unanswered.  This is a system very good for the caller but very annoying and inconvenient for the callee.  Not answering the call does not ensure that they will go away as your number appears as a Cablevision customer as long as you have a contract for TV or ISP.  I am not positive, but the customer rep may be an outsourced call center who try to make 150 calls per day so they want as many numbers to call as possible as the rep gets paid commissions.  As we know, the more calls you make the better chance someone will buy in and the rep gets a commission on the sale.  80 years ago it was the door to door salesman.  At least then you knew who the person was and you could slam the door on their face if they were to pull a dirty trick like this one.

It appears to be from Cablevision, Optimum I believe.  I never pick up a call from a number I do not clearly recognize or that I don't want to speak to.  I recommend this "stone-walling" technique to everyone. Never answer unknown or telemarketing calls. Just ignore them. They always waste their time calling me, then, after a while, they go away.

My caller id used to say cablevision.  Now it says CVC Melville CL.  I thought the number looked familiar and chose not to answer and when i typed in the number it brought me to this site.  They call EVERYDAY.  It's very annoying!

Its cablevision calling for promos
