Received several calls always asking for donations . My wife lost her first husband  as a result of injuries sustained while on the
police force protecting the anti-cop jerks who intimated cops were responsible, stop watching TV, Police Do Not Solicit Money!
She asked how much will they give her due to her circumstances and they slammed the phone down, so much for charity.
As to the probable crooks themselves who put the Police down your just as bad as the scammers who called. They are crooks
probably  cop haters just like you. Next time you have a problem seeing as how you don't like real cops call a con.

Received a call this morning at 9 am from 516-656-4117 (calleer ID was FRAT ORD POLICE) - rang three times, when I answered, they hung-up.   Next time I'll get it on the first ring and use the air horn to answer it!

I just got the call too from Frat Ord Police, 914-399-9710.  No message was left.

Maybe it's the Time Warner connection because I'm getting several calls daily from different places.  The numbers show up on my caller ID but no messages are left.

Some months ago I picked up the phone call from one of these strange numbers.  He man pitched lower energy bills.  I hung up.

Another call from someone who wants to sell working at home to my wife who already has job. The first time I asked them who they are and they said my wife had signed up online. When I said this was unlikely they told me to put my wife on the line now and then they hung up.
They keep calling from this number.

The guy had a heavy Indian accent.   He claimed he was calling for Just Energy, and tried to offered me some special deals.   I am not a customer of Just Energy.   I asked him why he called me.   He said because my number is in his database.  So,  I promptly told him to remove my number for his database and then f-off.  I encourage everyone to be totally rude to these sales calls.

I have rec'd tons of calls. I actually did donate. I checked with local Police and they are legit. Thay never quit though.r7a9

I got a phone call from 516-453-5625 and the caller ID said Frat ORD Police. I didn't anwser because I didn't know who they were or why they would be calling. When I did a reverse number look up on the white pages website it said it was a land line and thought it was from Nassau, NY. Who know. They waited for the machine to pick up and then just hung up. No police department will call you just to hang up.

I got a call today from this number. After seeing who was calling I just let it ring, it rang 3 times and without leaving a message, the caller hung up. After I received this call I looked it up only to discover what I suspected, it was a scam.

I just got a call from Frat Ord Police, I was a little paranoid - like why are the police calling - I don't recall doing anything against the law...  I screened the call and they didn't leave a message.  I figured if it was official business they would've left a message.  Then I searched the number 516-453-5325 and came up with other info including this site.  Thanks!

The a**holes just called me. I didn't answer as I saw Frat ord police. Then It was, s**t, what did I do now. Got all paranoid, then did I number look up and it says they are in Nassau county Ny. I'm on the "Do not call list" and as soon as I switched to Time Warner Cable phone 6 months ago I get a zillion calls from almost every state all the time. Even in the middle of the night. Scumbags! This only started when I went to TWC. The very next day I started getting slammed with calls.

someone called and it said frat ord police my Mom totaly freaked out but than i called baq and realized there was something wrong so than i googled there name and realized it was a scam..

Yea they called us and my mom thought they were calling to tell us someone died. i got a book out and looked up the area code and it from long island and we're about 8 hrs away so she calmed down. Thank god i had that book.

Got a call from this # today - after a pause, a guy said something like, "Is the lady of the house there?" He was kind of broken up.  I asked, "Pardon?" then he hung up.  Caller ID said FRAT ORD POLICE.

Caller hung up when I answered. Read-out said "Frat Order of Police." Legitimate cops do NOT solicit money from the general public by telephone.

First time got call from 516 area code although got many calls from other areas namely 732, 866, 877, 888 etc. Public Awareness was the worst. They call all the time. CID shows FRAT ORD POLICE. Rang 3 times then hang up. Never answer this type of call. Waste my time and might even get spammed.

These pieces of crap called our house. I think they are thieves who stage break-ins and armed robberies. They probably work hand in hand with local police departments who only know how to solve pre-staged crimes. They also try to get you to send them money and attempt identity theft schemes. As usual, anything that says "police" or "government" these days is just another scammer out to steal your hard-earned money. Tell them to drop dead when they come calling for you!

(all though it is fun to play with these losers when they call and make them crazy like they make me!! just scream and yell at them ask them for their names etc. I even asked the guy if he wanted to donate money to my organization - which, like his, doesnt exist!!!)

I got a call from the number, but was scared bc it said police so I ignored it. Then about an hour later I got a call from a "private name" and totally different number that asked for a relative who never lived here. They asked for their number and I said I didn't know it. Then the lady on the line said they would take me off the calling list.
But from reading what people have said, I'm not sure if that second number is real or fake.
Anyways, do you think that they are really trying to see if your home?
now i'm even more scared.

I had also thought about calling the police number back to see if it was anything important or urgent but I wasn't going to. Thank God!!!!!

FOB  in cahoots with the police departments.  Police can't call legally but hire a front company for them.  The front takes 75% of the money or more and give the police the rest.  Police don't have to do anything and can use this free money for their charities or christmas ball or what ever.

If you pay taxes, you don't need to fund the police.  If they have a charity of merit, the police can solicit funds from the United Way (which makes sure the charity event is legitimate)

If they don't get you, the hangup and don't leave a message But they continue to call.  I wait them out.

just got call from that number also did not answer. they didn't leave a message so i checked on the number first. they must spend a lot in long distance cause i am 5 hundred miles away.
