I'm never home when they call, they never leave a message. I never call back numbers I don't recognize

I have DirecTv and the last time I talked with them directly about my DVR I was told it was at no charge, but I now have
$10 on my bill for my dvr every month when they told me as well it was no charge

no one on line  told my parents to hang up. I am on Do Not Call List.

It is Direct Tv trying to get me to upgrade.

Yes, this is Direct TV. I called the number back and got through right away. They have been calling my number for quite a long time, also. I was eligible for some updates on my equipment which pleased me very much. No charge and no installation fee. Another number called me right after I hung up with them stating they were from Direct TV. I was suspicious about the first call so I had her look up my info and tell me what it read. All was as I ordered it so I'm pretty sure everything is on the up and up. Installation in 2 days so will let you know how it goes!

This is about frequent calls (TM) who with enough aggrevation, we the consumer will eventually buy an phone-app to block such calls.  They don't sell apps, unless someone creates aggrevation.  Just wait them out, ignore the calls.

This is indeed an offer? for a DVD/DVR upgrade, but since I am not in a position to take advantage of the "WHOLE HOME" DVR offer, I declined.  In fact I declined 5 times before finally just hanging up.  The reason that they don't leave their ph #, is that telemarketers get a much lower wrap time and a higher conversion rate if they can catch someone on a 'live' call.
Direct TV is the best carrier of the big 3; for customer service, rates and picture quality and believe me I've had them all.  Dish is #2 and Comcast raises their rates about every quarter - they are terrible!  
As long as you keep your bill current they'll work with you to provide a credit to keep you on board which is essential for me (otherwise it's back to rabbit ears) since I depend on SS to survive.

Many of the comments given for this number (516)453-6809 report that this is Direct TV with free or reduced priceing on their service.  I do not believe this as if DirectTV had upgrades or service improvements, why do they not leave a message or list who is calling on the caller ID.  Are they ashamed or are they just scamming.

If I find this number is a DirectTv number I will cancel my service.

this number calls me constantly all day and eve no matter what time it is. they will not leave a voice mail. any clues on who? they have access to our info we should be able to have access to find out who is contacting us!

I continue to get calls from this number. No message on the machine, and when I answer there is nobody there. It is just a click and thats it. I am sick of it. I am going to use call block.

We get at least 5 calls a day from this number and there's never anyone on the other end. When I try to call back it says all our circuits are busy. If it's DIRECTV then you would be able to call back and get to talk to someone. I'm glad some other people have had good luck with this number!

This is really DirecTV and it's a good call. I went ahead and answered the second time they called. It's just a loyal customer call. They were able to tell me my account number and everything I had purchased. They tried to offer me a bunch of stuff like Whole Home for free, and then when I didn't want that, they offered a feww Cinema Connect package (didn't need), $10 off per month for 2 years if I signed an new contract (didn't take that offer either), and finally free HD service for 3 months (which i accepted).

I wish like hell that whoever is behind this would go jump off a cliff. Stop calling people and leaving no information. And then a busy signal when I try to call back? Thank you so much for wasting my time. Jerks.

I get this message also, but am a Direct TV customer.  I called back and it was a busy signal. Dont know for sure that its Direct TV but assuming it is. Hmmmm...

I'm so furious with someone with that nbrs - (516) 453-6809 keeps calling since Nov 11th til now but DOES NOT leave msg on my recording machine at all.  Even I call back, the line is always buzzz buzzz.  Question is...if it's really from DirecTV then why can't the rep leave msg or its customer svcs will look bad and very embarrassing cuz of unprofessional issues.  Might be telemarketing thingy.

Regarding above note. Directv came on time repklaced ny DVR with a new Model and also replaced my Satellite Dish and rewired it to my DVR. great Service. No Charge...

I just got a call from this number and I now have an appointment to replace my HD DVR with an upgraded model at NO Cost. She also reduced my bill by giving me 12 free months of DVR Service.

After reading previous comments I got nervous and went online to my Directv account. The appointment to upgrade my DVR was already on my account..   This is not a scam. there are no extra charges. If it turns out diffrently, I will rewrite this report.....

No idea who this is.  No message, and when I call back, all I get is a busy signal.  And they call at 9pm which is annoying.

Numerous calls from this number. Caller I D says  it's DIRECTV. DIRECTV has no record of this number connected to their company.
