I got a call from this but did not answer it because I didn't recognize the number so I decided to let it go to voicemail. It was a recording saying it was the "FBI" and when I went to pick it up to listen to it, the greeting on my phone cancelled the rest of the message. Has anyone else gotten this message?? I was told that it's ILLEGAL to use Govt. abbreviations, etc., and it's a federal offense. So if the person/people who are calling from this number, I hope they track you down because it's a scary feeling when you hear "this is a message from the FBI" which is all I got to hear!!!

I just got a new number and they are already calling non-stop. I just hang up but they call several times a day. They don't get past the first few words before I'm slamming the phone down on them but it's very persistent. I'll be putting the new number on the Do Not Call Registry as soon as I can!

I'm a widowed senior,I have gotten three of these call this morning,says my local police dept. has ask them to call about a security system,I pushed 9 each time,did not help. I called the FTC,about these calls,I do belong to the Do Not Call Registry,but this time I got to real person,who was very concerned,took a full report,and said do not respond to these call in anyway,because when you do,you let them know this is a working number.Go to their web site,these call are very illegal,read about what is being done.

Received call from this number as well. it was a robotic message selling some type of home security system. They offered an "opt" out by pushing 1 or 9 (can't recall) but I didn't do this as sometimes its a ploy to see if you indeed respond...they then know someone lives at that number.
Go to this link to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission which oversees and penalizes companies for violating do-not-call, etc. Action needs to be taken promptly against those who continue to violate...then they'll start getting the message. You do have to state that you requested to be opted out but the calls continue.
