Received call at 9:24 am on Feb. 21, 2012.  comes up out of area on caller idNo message was left.  Very annoying when you are ill and need rest.  Had enough.  One more call and authorities will be notified.

This number called us twice today 5 minutes apart and left no message and hung up when we answered, upon calling the number back it is no good.

I am already on the do not call list and am not a current or past subscriber to Motor Magazine so why should I now give them my phone number? Another scam...

I agree with the above post. I'm on the do not call list, it's a cell phone and I have never subscribed to Motor Magazine. There is ZERO excuse for them calling me. I certainly do NOT want to give my email to these people if this is the kind of stuff they pull!

As I implied originally, these calls may not all be from Motor Magazine, but they do originate from a call center we are using. The Do Not Call list isn't applicable in our case, as we are calling existing subscribers with a renewal offer. You may be receiving the calls from this number from another list source - this call center makes calls for other legitimate companies as well. If you send your phone # to me at the email address in my previous post, I will check further with them and have you removed from their list.

I am having the same problem.  I don't think I should have to do anything to fix this.  If this is the fault of Motor Magazine, whatever that is, then they should fix it, especially as it appears their PR person is aware of this.  I want this to stop NOW.  They call my cell phone every day!

I'm getting the same crap. I'm wondering if it's some kind of baiting scam where they are hoping you'll call back and when you do there is some charge that they collect or they can use the number of call backs as some kind of marketing indicator that might have some value to them. I'm getting it on my home phone and cel phone. The cell is T-Mobile and the phone is Comcast Digital.

Saw this number on IDer as a call waiting while I was on another call. I answered it but got nobody. My Telezapper might have zapped him. Tried to call the number but got a recording that did not sound like regular phone company recording and it said number not in service.

We have been receiving severall calls from this # on a daily basis.  They just hang up and when I call them back I get an "Out of Service" recording.

This is a business that is receiving these calls.  They are very annoying and disturbing when we are on another line with  a legitimate caller.

We need these calls to stop.

Your carrier can look at the call record and see what is the actual phone number which is originating the call.  What is on caller ID can be spoofed just like an email address.  Once you have the real originating phone number you can contact the carrier about their client's violation of their service agreement (it specifically doesn't allow the user to spam others).  All of this depends on your carrier's willingness to retrieve your call record.  The chances of that are typically zip.

Long term solution?  The technology exists which would not allow calls whose caller ID number does not agree with the call record.  This would cost some money and won't happen until they are forced to.

No message was left. I called the number & got the following message:
"I'm sorry the number you have called is no longer in service."

same as others: there is no one on the other side to answer although could here something in the background

This number keeps calling.  I got a Google Voice account and now have my phone number forward to it.  I flagged the number on my google voice as spam and now no more annoying calls.

I got 2 calls from 516-561-3516 today. About 5 min apart. First call, no vm. Second call, left VM. But it seemed like an accidental dial the second go around. This is what I heard a man saying in a foreign accent:
"coco butter. Didnt I pay you? Oh I owe you? alright baby...I owe you. no prob. Dont worry baby, I'll pay you. whatchoo need. I got so much'a things you woulnt believe. I got whatchoo need. i got so much baby. I aint used this in a long time. coco..coco.. cocobutter? it make me perspire alot. you sure? you think you could keep up with me?"

....W....T...H... lol

Received calls at the following times from the following numbers.  When I pick up, no one answers.  If I call back, it just rings and rings and rings or get a busy signal.

Identified as Motor Magazine. Says updating free subscription. Had all info wrong, and I did not give any info out to correct them.

This number keeps calling me - It is SPAM.  It is harrassment!  Please stop them!

These people keep calling for no reason. They call and then hang up. Are they stupid or what?
