If you had read the complete instructions you would have known that the sponsor was going to contact you. All sweepstakes are a sales gimmick.

When you entered the contest you were informed that you would be contacted by the sponsor. Or, you would have been informed if you had read the instructions.

My husband get multiple calls from this number every day, all because we entered a competition from bass pro. It is very annoying that they sold our info to other companies. You can bet ill give these callers a piece of my mind when they call back today. I picked up once and went through the whole question thing cuz i thought id wone something, the man asked if i had debt then transfered me to done man that wanted all my personal info! Thank you so much bass pro for selling our information. Never going there again

I signed up to a Dinerite company to sell pots and pans basically at the ekka. (product was actually fantastic!! the company SUCKED!! ).
They had a competition to win a cooking set. All you had to do was fill out a form and pop it in a box.. Sound familiar???
ALL competitions are a way for a company to get a 'lead'. After the competition is done. The winner has their prize. All the entries are then cold called. This is legal and it's how most telemarketers get a number and name. ALWAYS check for a box that says do not call regarding promotions.
It comes with the cost of winning.

Got the same thing, this is a marketing company trying to sale travel packages on behalf of Blue Green Resorts.

If you read the bottom of the website you can see they are affiliated with Choice hotels and Bass Pro Shops.
I remember that I signed up for something the last time I went to Bass Pro Shops and obviously they sell information. I won't be going there again.
