I received a text from 517 348 2420 about a card being deactivated that I do not have. And was asked to call 517 316-6598. I called the number because I was very curious as to what this was all about. And the mail box to that number is full. I'm guess this has happened to a lot of folks then. Not sure what kind of scam this is, but i know that I have no such card. :-P

Yes, I unfortunately fell for it and typed in my #.  I feel so stupid.  Right after I hung up, I realized it was a scam and called the bank to get my card deactivated.  Ugh.

Just got this same text. From the looks of it I am guessing all case members have a card starting with these same four digits. I called the number back and it rang busy but surely I would not enter my info had anyone answered. F*** Scammers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received this same text message.  I too do not have an account with this institution.

Do NOT respond to this text message and do NOT provide banking info. It is a scam. I took a handful of police reports yesterday. The numbers in the texts are cell phones (probably pay as you go). The sender is involved in a "phishing scam". The activities are being investigated, but save yourselves any hassle by deleting.

I received a text from this number as well, but I DO have an account with Case as well as a card that starts with those numbers... When I called, an auntomated voice told me to punch in my card number but I didn't. Sounds like a scam.

Me too. I don't have the card either. I guess it is a spam text of some sort...

I received the following text message from 517-348-2420: "CASE C.U. ALERT: Your CARD starting with 4264 has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 517-316-6598." I have NO accounts with CASE Credit Union.
