I want to know who this is calling my phone.

I was hopeful that contacting the FCC would do something, but it didn't. I filled out the form and then received a letter in the mail stating "the facts in this case do not indicate a violation of the Communications Act of 1934...".

It is not illegal to call from this number, so I don't know where you got that information. T-mobile cannot block the call either. A loud whistle in the ear is a wonderful tactic (and it works too) but this is a recorded announcement.

I've tried every conceivable avenue to get rid of these people and other than not answering, there seems to be no way out of it.

I wouldnt have even answered the call except the phone number is seriously 2 digits off from my grandparents number. Crazy wierd.

My feeling was right.

Some one also called me from 517-456-1278 I was at work and unable to pick up the phone when returning the call it just gives me a busy tone.

i had a call from this number once and after i hung up a different service phone had a call in the other room (phone in the same house different rooms) five missed calls this just doesn't happen i want answers and i want them now!!

Got the call about 7pm EST. We too have a Florida phone. No message left, call back give a busy signal!

It is illegal to continue to call from this 517-456-1278 unless you identify yourself. Call your service provider and have them block this number. If these are telemarketers then they must respect the do not call list. If they are harrassing all of us then you can report the number to the Federal Trade commision, the FBI and the FCC. Each of these organizations is funded to deal with such incidents. The caller may not understand english, but they will recognize the long arm of the law...

I missed the call and tried to call it back several times but it was busy.

Just found out from version they ARE the service provider and won't do anything about it ... they suggest reopting them to the FCC.GOV website ...

yup... I get it all the time too... and THEY REFUSE to stop calling .. what can be done?! I wonder if my provider sells active phone list cause I get simliar calls all the time ... anyone have a clue?

Just got a call from this number. I prefered not to answer.

It is a Spanish language pitch for health insurance, but when I press "1" to be connected to a Customer Service Rep to complain, they hang up on me.

I missed a call from that number about an hour ago. When I try to return the call it's been busy twice.

While complaining to the FCC .. I got the call AGAIN on another  cell phone number! WRITE the FCC! It's easy to do as writing on this forum!
