How do we stop these crank calls. It's as if they are trying to find out if anyone is at home.

Called, and when I answered I got an automated voice saying to please hold for the next available agent.  I hung up.  Caller ID shows C237.

I DO NOT WANT THESE CALLS.

Received call from C237 asking for Mr or Mrs ------.  I told her I was the sister in law.  She wouldn't leave a message and hung up.

Same as most others. C237, no message.  Tried the suggestion of complaining to the phone company. I will repost if I get a response.

The phone only rang three times befor I got there. Nobody was there.

We got this same phone call and we didn't answer because of C237 being on the caller ID and a long distance area code we weren't familiar with.  I began researching it on reverse look-up, found this site and a few others that mentioned it was from Tekonsha Michigan.  I googled the town and began to look at everything there.  It has a population of 686-712.  It seems like a wonderful little place.  It actually is a "village".  Since some of the complaints stated it was a non-profit organization I looked at the local churchs.  They have 3. First Baptist Church, Union church and a church of God. I researched as many land line phone numbers that I could find associated with the local businesses, school, and village office/fire dept./police.  None of them have a prefix of 931.  Also, I researched this Lucre phone company and they only have prefixes for 929 and 930, 933 etc. They have no 931 prefix.  The police dept. in this village has a message number listed.  Maybe if everyone would call the message number (listed under village office menus)maybe they could find out who it is and what is going on.  This seems like a really nice community and it would be a shame for one individual or a few to give it a bad rap.  How 'bout it folks? Maybe if they get enough complaints they can find out what's going on or at least redirect it to the area it's really coming from if not from this service area.  These seem like really nice, caring people in this small place and I would hate for them to be blamed for someone else's garbage.  Thanks

I got a call from c237 517-931-2409, when I picked up no one answered. WTF! I'm blocking that number.

I answered and there was only "dead air" on the phone ... I held down the "2" button for a few seconds (probably didn't do anything but maybe it confused some body or computer just a little) the "name" on the caller ID was "C237"

What harm are these people causing by calling?  I just told them that I wasn't interested and now they don't call back.  No big deal.

Constant calls without leaving a purpose of call.

Lady in Oklahoma City what makes you think these are such nice people just because they have an area code from a small town in Michigan. They are making all these crank calls. They don't seem to be such nice people to me.

I want these people to go away!!!!  Stop the many calls per day!!!  Help put a stop to C237!

"C237" on your caller ID is the ISP's name. The caller is using VoIP calls. They are not very good at changing their CID name. I traced the ISP to the Czech Republic. Folks this is a scam. Don't talk to them, don't give them any information at all. They are just phishing for any credit or debit card info. If you report them, do it to the FBI. They are not in this country so the FTC's Do Not Call List complaints do no good.

Received a call from "c237" (517-931-2409) on Wed A.M, Jan 6th, 2010.  Female caller is raising funds for some charity like "Breast Cancer Support Foundation" or similar name.  I told her I could not help.

Called late a night and asked for someone that does not live here

I saw this number on my caller ID and when I called it back the voice mail sounded very weird saying to leave the number I was calling about.

got a call from this p# Man ask for my husband told him not home & ask if I could help him.  Guy on phone said he was collection for Breast Cancer to help women who could not afford screening & would I help.  He also said something about the women in the area and it sounded like he said Loveland which in not in Kansas.   I told him I gave to local charities and hung up.  I think this is fraud.

Got a similar call!   I don't bother to answer silly calls.   If they don't have the courtesy to leave a message, they can keep calling forever.   I won't pick it up.

When the lady on the line asked for me, I pretended to be someone else and offered to take a message.  She said "We're a charity, we'll call back."  I said "Don't bother" and hung up.

I got a call from this number - due to caller I.D. I didn't answer, but the caller I.D. read C237.  Does anyone know what that means?

C237 is the name on caller ID and there is never anyone there....it is almost like they hang up as soon as you answer.

I think if you press *60 you can do selective caller rejection.

Pressing 3 turns on your call screening when you call *60 and add numbers.

Whoever this is...it is just weird.
