I've read all of the complaints and this is what I got ANOTHER home security system Robo-call they called me yesterday under a Fort Wayne, IN number theve called me so many times I know what numbers to press I had a on hold thing I made that's 21:36 long of just christmas music I got someone on The phone asked him if he could hold he said he couldn't I asked why and he hung up I did the same thing to "Rodney" yesterday but he only lasted 17 seconds he must have told the whole office next time they call I am not asking them to hold I just am putting them on hold!

Portfolio Recovery keeps calling here under many different numbers.  Sometimes they ID themselves as debt collectors, sometimes they do not give any information at all..

I look up numbers on the Internet to see who is calling.

Portfolio Recovery has many complaints and many, many numbers.  Some people are reporting threats.

had a call from these guys, they are very persistent. Have had voice mail messages from them too.
They tell me i have a debt from a bank, and ask me to confirm my social security number, and to make a payment over the phone. Bunch of crooks! i have only lived in the country a short time, and do not have any credit cards so this is bull sh*t!! i went mad at the woman on the phone and she had the cheek to get mad with me!!

this place just called my cell and omfg they are asking for my maiden name that I have not had in umm 15 years like really wow that has been cleared up many years ago give it up

Keep calling for my husband who has long since lost his ability to remember anything. They said account was closed in 1997 due to in ability to collect. I don't think my husband ever dealt with the company they say they are collecting for.

Any calls that early and late in the day are illegal.

I am glad they do not leave a message - I don't want to deal with them. By law, when you ask to see the proof of debt, they REFUSE to mail it to me. They have an address that I have not lived at for five years, and I asked them to update it? They don't. They refer me to their website to see the debt. Uh, no. You need to mail it to me.

They are also quite rude and condescending. "Why did you stop paying?!" Uh, because I lost my job!

these people have been calling me twice a week for four years. I have told them to stop calling but they keep calling how do i stop them

I wish they'd stop calling me at all hours, I do not have any past due debts and they're always asking for someone who used to have my number!!!

They call me 4 to 6 times a day. I have answered and they claim they are debt collectors and I have a past due account from 8 years ago. I told them statue of limitations and they say they will continue to call until I pay.. I know longer answer and they are calling up to 10 times what a bunch of jerks.

Receiving a call from these people every morning between 8am and 8:30am centeral tim at my work number.  I do not recognize the number and I do not answer unknow callers.  These scams need to stop.  I don't want anything they have to offer and I don't owe them anything.  Personal calls are not allow on my office phone.  They are wasting there time.  These call will never get answer.

This number just calls me and hangs up.  I receive several phone calls a day from different areas around the United States from this company Portfolio Recovery (Albany NY, Florida, etc.).  They call at 7:00a.m. in the morning and clear up until 10:30p.m.

They called me today. I asked who was calling and she only gave her name but did not give the company name she was with,just kept asking if I was the certain person she was asking for.I finally hung up. I had an old debt that was written off and I think these sleeze balls are trying to collect the money,even though I did not borrow it from them.

this has been going on for 3 years

We got 3 or 4 calls from the 518-207-3602 number last night and then two tonight.  I picked up the phone and said, 'Hello', but heard nothing, so hung up.  Then got a call a few hours later and my wife answered.  This time, someone told her he was calling about some bank account she had and sked her if she was __ ___.  She said 'yes', then he proceeded to tell her the conversation was being recorded, so she prompty hung up.  I'm glad I stumbled on this site because the account they're calling about was closed a long time ago and her current credit report shows it to be in good standing.  Don't these people have anything better to do?  I guess it wouldn't do much good to put a block on that number, since they apparently have so many.

This company has been calling me on my cell and now finally my Google Voice line now for almost a year, they finally left their FIRST voice mail today!!   I have checked my credit reports and I have no outstanding debts so I know this is BS!

Also, I'm starting to notice new numbers appear in my SPAM folder in GV that belong to PRA, so Google is starting to flag these numbers as spam for illegal activity.  Google Voice and Android FTW!  

Android Cell = all your calls go straight to Voicemail, my phone never rings anymore!
Google Voice = Your calls are either mostly getting flagged as spam, or get outright blocked, either way my phone never rings anymore.

PRA is loosing this battle badly, at least with tech savvy people ... and they are just wasting money buying new DID's (phone numbers) because they are reported on the internet and then we can block them in very short order!

Portfolio Recovery has been calling here at least 2x/day for at least a month--I'm never home or else don't answer it.  I finally answered today, and the woman asked for Jay.  When I said there was no Jay here, she disclosed his last name, which was the same as mine.  When I pressed her to tell me why this company keeps calling here and asked if they were a collection agency, and she said no, this was personal financial business.  She kept apologizing for calling.

They keep calling my Google Voice number. I kept them in my address book and each new number, I just add to the address book entry.  Oh, I added that entry to my blocked caller list.  They don't usually get through.  When they do, add the number to the others.  Then all they get is a disconnected number recording hahahahaahahhah

Recieved this call a few minutes ago. They did not leave a message. This is the fourth time this company has contacted this house. The individual they are harassing is my roomate. She is so busy trying to pay off student loans and going to school she does not need the harassament of a "supposebly debt" that is over eleven years old. They did not even have the correct address for her.

5 MORE CALLS AFTER MY REQUEST TO NOT CALL MY NUMBER ANYMORE.
