i got a call from theses people as well and i told them off they had they where the irs and that i'm going to jail they are opening a criminal investigation on me first a man called and left a message then i called back and it was a woman who picked up and i knew it was a scam she told me i was under investigation before i did pay my state taxes i sitting here thinking lol wait the state of florida have no state tax and that when i gave her a piece of my mind she got nervious and hung up on me you know i'm gonna call back i don't like no body trying to scam me i'm a hard working mom and i work hard for my money dam it !

I found out a friend of mines phone carrier is Acc National Telecom Corp also. What is that ? What does it mean?

Had this happen to me also. they gave me the web address ending with .gov so at first i thought it was ok until they told me to deposit money into a western union account and then i would get my grant money. I told them no that's not how it works you don't pay money to get a grant. She argued with me and i said no thanks i will contact my school to get legit grants, she hung up on me.

Called and said I was getting $7,000 in grant money and that they had all my info.  I said great, send me the check.  Said I had to call 315-215-1684 with my verification number.  Gave me a website to review - www.directgrant.com.  Any gov agency, is not a .com.  I hung up and did a reverse phone check and it is ACC National Telecom in NY.  They said they were in DC.

Well I haven't received calls from this number but did received calls from other numbers. All these numbers are landline numbers and being that I have a verizon cell phone I'm able to press *55 while their on the phone. What *55 do is basically block the number and everytime they call it will get reported to Verizon and Verizon has to report it to the police. These people been calling me for months with false information and also saying that they will have the police come to my house and arrest me. Well i'm still here and lol didint get arrested so if you have a Verizon cell phone press *55 while they on the phone and every other number they will call you from. We must all get together and bring these people down and SUE THE SKIN OFF THEIR A***S. If u have a FaceBook Page please go "My Identity Is My Identity Not Yours" and support it. If we can work together to brings theses ppl down we can all win.

...I just got a call from 413-225-9898 which is the same company.  I did the same thing... reverse lookup and the name of the company is ACC National Telecom Corporation.  What made me suspicious was the voice on the other end started speaking Spanish so I just hung up.  I received an e-mail several weeks ago about a telephone number that calls and charges you some crazy amount for a long distance call ... so, I wanted to make find out where the call originated from.

The call came in on my Verizon cell phone.

looked up number on my computer(reverse search)and found it to be Acc National Telecom Corp.

Recieved the call once every other day for the past two days. The last call I didn't hear anything but rustling for 11 seconds. No one spoke, then hung up. Weird...

its time warner cable.  the sales department.  been getting 4-5 calls a day for a week now

it is time warner cable.  They called the other night at 9 pm as a "courtesy call" to make sure I was satisfied with my service.  Since I said yes, I am confused why they keep calling.  I will be calling them later and asking them to cease and desist!!  Or I will cancel all my services with them.  Hope that does the trick.

Yeah it's Time Warner Cable, usually wanting you to sign up for home phone or cable, or whatever service of theirs you don't have yet.  I tried to explain to them that I don't need another phone, since I already have a cell (the one they had just called me on), yet they don't seem to get the hint.  Just ignore it, they'll give up after a few days.

Got calls from this company saying they were federal officers investigating a fraud.  When I did a reverse phone screen they came up.  Isn't it against the law to represent yourself as a federal officer?

For nine months I have been receiving calls from various numbers.  Today it was 212-461-3273.  I looked it up and its from NY.  They said they were going to file a lawsuit against me.  They cannot tell me who  is filing the lawsuit or why. They said they were from David Harris Legal Firm in California.  I have also had calls saying they were criminal investigators and also they were federal officers.  They have a heavy accent.    If you question them they will hang up on you.  I'm tired of this.

THE FIRST INITIAL CALL CAME OUT OF ALBION,N.Y./ CARRIER ACC NATIONAL TELECOM CORPORATION. NOW, BAKERSFIELD,CA..  THE NUMBERS BEING USED: (585)331-8616 AND (616) 368-5693, THEN THEY LEAVE A HOTLINE NUMBER TO CALL AS WELL.  SOUNDS LIKE & SMELLS LIKE SCAM BUT HOW DO YOU STOP THEM FROM CALLING. THE DO NOT CALL LIST APPEARS TO BE FOR BUSINESSES/ TELEMARKETERS, SO WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE MISREPRESENTING THEIRSELVES ?
