THIS NUMBER IS CONSTANTLY CALLING WHEN I DONATED TO THIS ORGANIZATION THROUGH ANOTHER.

This phone # called me and was talking about donating money to cancer research for children. When asked to send us information about it through the mail, the woman said she couldn't do that without a pledge. Once again asked her to send info by mail because there was no way I was giving my credit card #, she said "Ok" and hung up. She called back the next day (yesterday 4/27/2014) at 8 A.M. and I said sure I'd commit to pledging if I received something in the mail.  She sent me to another person who wanted my credit card.  After explaining I would not give them this information without a website or flyer or mailed information she got upset and said "Well ma'am you said you'd donate."  I told them to put me on the "Do Not Call List"  They hung up.  They called 3 times since then. Every time I pick up I say put me on your "Do Not Call List."  and they hang up without a word.  This is harassment and I will be contacting the Attorney General Office.  SCAM

Phone rang at 8:30 a.m.  I didn't answer.  They left no message.  I think that is too early to be calling someone.  The phone woke me up.

Received the same call.. My minimum donation had to be $40.. When I tried to explain to her that I felt that this was a scam, because any organization would except any amount, she hung up.

Called me at 8:59 this morning!  I didn't answer for two reasons: 1) I WAS still sleeping; 2) I don't answer phone calls from unknown sources.  That number is now blocked.  

These are scammers and for the life of me I don't know why people intelligent enough to post on web-sites anwer calls and TALK to these callers.  It's a steady flow of dirt bags, day in and day out.  DON'T talk to them!!!!    Can't you see how low they will go?  There is no low low enough for some of them -- especially scammers who would use a horrible disease inflicted on CHILDREN to put money in their own pockets!  What goes around......

The game is to get as much info as possible...to scam your address ("We'll send you a pledge card") but even better, to wear you down till you agree to pay by credit card. Their trick is to ask for a small amount, $40 or even $20 if you're hesitant.

Once they have your credit card? They'll bill you for $400? $200? Do some identity theft.

Sick twisted whorr on the phone...her karma is she'll get breast cancer and throat cancer.

Don't try to get a real answer from the first "person" you talk to.
Lavita Short, the "supervisor", claimed that it was a computer system with pre-recorded answers. Call it SIRI for telemarketers. The pre-recorded answers and Lavita claim that only 15% of any donations actually get to the charity. The other 85% go towards "administrative fees". In other words, their pockets.

Caller ID said Children's Cancer.  They called me at 8:00 am :/  I asked the caller if she knew what time is was.  She replied "you know what, I am new here and I can't answer that question."  She went on to ask it I received their pledge card in the mail.  Again I asked her what time it was.  She gave the same answer that she is new and cannot answer that.  I expressed my disbelief that she could not tell time.  She then said 'hold on while I get my manager" and hung up on me.  
These lowlife scammers are making themselves look like St Judes Childrens Hospital who does send out pledge cards and who I donate to every year.  It is infuriating and I have reported them to the Do Not Call Registry and I hope others do as well.

Woman called Nov 1, asked for me by name, and then hung up. Caller ID gave number. Will tell her to remove me from list when she calls next in no uncertain terms.

She said she was calling from AC Services.

I have received calls from this number.

The way to STOP these unwanted calls is to start making it COST them $$$ to MAKE the calls.

I pickup on the 1st or 2nd ring ... mentally count to 5 and hang up. That's a "completed call" that they now MUST PAY for! ... LOL !!!

That's why they don't let it ring more than 3 times because they have to PAY if the Ans. Machine gets it.

What if all across America we ALL did that ???

They would now be paying BIG bucks for our HANG UPS ... LOL !!!

Same here.  The woman hung up after my wife told her that we lost a child to cancer recently.  I'm guessing that she is using online sources to find stories about kids with cancer, and then calling all the phone numbers in that area.  She is calling 845 numbers now...

GOT a phone call Thursday, 9/19/13 at 12:08pm, asking for a different person, for cancer research.   I have had this phone call before, so I told her that she had the wrong number and that she new she had the wrong number!  I also informed her not to call back and hung up on her.

This person has been calling for sometime AND continues to call.  Sad individual..

Have ceased ALL donations because of harassing callers! Family, extended family and friends alerted! No More Donations!

Scum bag that feed off of children with cancer.  They pretend to be fund raising for a good cause but they keep almost all of the money for themselves as 'expenses' for their "fundraising".
These are the people that should be dying of cancer, not the kids that are not even old enough to have done anything to deserve such horrible punishment.

This crap is just never ending. This is just one of hundreds of numbers that call us. It's all a scam and the people making these calls are getting bolder and nastier. Why? Because they CAN! I don't understand why the FCC and any number of "watch dog" organizations aren't doing something to stop this! We no longer keep a phone in our bedroom because we're wakened morning and night by this nonsense. People shouldn't have to live with this day in and day out. I sometimes fantasize about bombs blowing up these call centers with these rotten callers all trapped inside. What a smile that would put on my face. I've just had enough.

I received this phone call at 4:15 PM telling me they are a cancer organization collecting for children.  She asked me for $40 and then I told her I could only give $20.  I told her to send me the info. in the mail, but she demanded a credit card number or a debit.  I refused and hung up.  It infuriates me that people do this and I am also on the Do Not Call registry here in NY.  No one should ever give out personal info. on the phone.  I have no clue how they got my number as we are also unlisted.

Keep getting daily calls from this number. Today was after 12 PM, no message left. Caller ID shows Childrens Cancer. Never heard of them, will not donate anywhere except through work because we have been hit with our credit cards three times this year being used fraudulently. Never give out any credit info!!

Raven, did you previously make an ONLINE donation (like I did) to St.Jude? After my donation, I started receiving these calls. I am wondering if somebody has access to St Jude's online application webpages.

I also received two calls lately from," Children's Cancer". I never had a call from them before. I also recently received a call from, ""Better Off Healing". Again, I never had a call from them before. I have my answering machine's message set up that so there is about a 10 second pause between the,"Hello" and the," I am not home-please leave a message...". Point being that this not a robo call. A real person has called, asked for me by my first name, and promptly hung up when they realized that they were talking to an answering machine. Here is my question: I recently made an online donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. On one of the webpages, I (foolishly?) included my home phone number, along with my name(required). I NEVER had these probable Spam calls before my online donation. Has anybody had a similar experience?

She just call me. asking for at least $20 for children with cancer. I'm not stupid I will never will give my information to anyone on the phone.
