I hope the FTC and FCC put these people away for a long time.  We have filed a formal complaint with them and have a monitor on our phone line.  As soon as we can get one to stay on the phone with us, we will go ahead with the lawsuit.  I hope it is soon.

Legalizing "spoofing" has negated the "Do Not Call" registry. I posted a petition to have "spoofing" illegal since I firmly believe that anyone who has a legitimate reason to call me will not find it necessary to spoof the number they are calling from but NO ONE signed the petition.  Everyone bi****s but no one wants to do something as simple as put their name on a petition to at least try to do something about it and stand up for themselves and what's right.  All I can say now is "stop yer bitchin" and start writing to your Senators and members of Congress to get "spoofing" illegal and get these damned websites offering spoofing services down.

Just received another med alert call -- started with talking over the answering machine with my order was ready to ship.  WHAT order?  A professional has referred you for getting a med alert .... Talk/End.  Done with that call.  It seems like every Monday or every other Monday these scam scum bags change the phone number or areas they call.  Report them each time so the Feds might be able to track them down with some blunder they make.  I have also spent time talking about this particular phone call from phone numbers around the US going on nonstop at every meeting or event that I regularly attend.  Many said they called back when they got home and no connection.  Others said they hang up before I got there.  So -- yes -- elderly have to be told and informed not to be suckered in by theses crooks.   I have to laugh at "Mohammad" saying it was the government spying.  Excuse me, if the government was not so restricted they would be able to find these perverts easier.  But people want their privacy -- while chit chatting on mobile devices nonstop and giving out all their information at the same time.  This group, however, wants to sucker in senior or disabled people.  Let's hope none of our elderly friends and relatives get hit by them.  Report them every time to hope their nonstop changing phone numbers can be tracked and they will be shut down and prosecuted.  No report means more calls.

Received robocall from "Medical Alert Company". Message began "Your shipment is on its way. You have qualified for a free Medical Monitoring service."

Press 1 to take advantage, 9 to opt out.

Pressed 1 to see if live person would answer. Then line went dead.

Received pre-recorded message telling me a medical referral was approved for a personal medical alert system.  I let the message play out until my phone went into the disconnect mode.  My digital answering service recorded the last portion of the call.  I reported it to the FCC via their online complaint site.  You should report the call if you want something actually done about the problem.

the robo call said something about some Medical alert system that was ready to be shipped to me.
I pressed one to find out more. the woman (with an accent) told me I qualified for up to $400 in free medical alert system. I asked her how She got my number and she said I opted in to something either on the internet or via a medical order.
I don't recall to opting in to anything, so it must be some sort of sneaky trick that they do to opt you in.
I wish people would stop buying stuff from these callers and maybe they would close up shop and give up. But there are too many foolish people that really believe that they are getting something for free and they sign up for this garbarge. I told her to take my name off the list, and she asked me why I didn't want to take advantage of her free offer today. I told her, I never buy anything over the phone and didn't give her permission to call me! and she hung  up!

Today at 4:33 p.m. I received a robocall that left a message on my answering machine. The caller ID came up as 518 621-5490.  I suspect this is the same company that has been harassing me about a Free Life  Alert from a different phone number 630 366-6914 with a live person who I told to Take me off their list as I am on the Do Not Call List.

Just got an automated call from this number. I've gotten into the habit of not answering any caller ids that don't give a company or personal name I recognize. That way I can just delete the message without suffering through the entire sales pitch.   Then I put them on my automated rejection service....which is getting way too long.

Dan is right!  The powers that be negated the Do Not Call Registry when they legalized number "spoofing" so now all the scammers and a-holes can call you and the FCC or FTC don't have the manpower to track down these people so they can continue to annoy us without consequences.  The law says they are not to call for the purposes of scamming but why would anyone have spoof a number if they are legitimate?  I still remember seeing the politician who wrote the Bill replying to the reporter's question "what would be a good reason for someone to spoof the number they are calling from" with "ah, ah, em, ah, I'm sure there's a good reason!"  I don't remember the dumbass' name...but wish I did so I could find his office number and forward my calls to him.

Rob, you're being silly.  And ignorant: These calls keep coming because wingnut anti-government known-nothings like yourself don't WANT the feds to enforce the laws & regulations.  That would be anti-business and anti-free-market.  Thus your (republican) representatives have worked to ensure that there's no or minimal enforcement of these laws.

The government is awful and inept! Let's make sure the government can't do anything!  (And then we whine when they don't do anything.)

Also the callerID is often fake or suppressed, on these illegal DNC-violating robocalls, so how would anyone finger the actual perpetrators?  (Unless you believe in the free-market/no-government fairy, which repairs everything.)

Recorded message about my medical equipment order is ready for shipping.  Wow.  I do not have any.  Press 1 to find out more information about the order.  Press 9 to opt out.  I hung up.
Seem to be pushing some sort of medical alert system.

What is the point of having a DNC Registry if these calls only seem to be increasing???  The DNC is an absolute joke.  Oh yeah, it's run by the government and we all know how well that runs.

Yep, we get those calls here in Massachusetts too despite being on the DNC. I think they're getting our number from other legitimate sources that sell customer information. It's doubtful that they're checking a DNC list. At least one other "look-up service" lists this number as a MOBILE number originating from Albany, NY. I hate these annoyances.

Just received a robocall from these guys selling some kind of monitored smoke alarm.  Annoying.  Pressed 9 as requested to be removed.  We'll see if that works...but I am ON the DNC list..why do I have to press 9?  They should not be calling to begin with
