I got a call from Quality Home Service. It didn't show the number, but it was Anonimus. I answered the phone and i told him that i need the service. Left an appointment for Monday 18 March. I'll take a picture of the car and number plate before i'll open the door and after that i'll explain to the technician  that i'm in the no call list and that I'm reporting him at CRTC for illegal telemarketing calls. I think this is the only way to face these people. Let them learn by paying for the wrongdoings.

I have been receiving calls from this duct cleaning company also. No good saying for them to come to do it and then telling them face to face because to leave you alone. I tried to do that. When I was about to say, yes to the cleaning, he wanted to record it. I think they do this to charge you if you don't let them when you come.

Anyway, I do not know how to stop these harassing calls. They have been rude and will not remove us from their list. We are also on the do not call list. As a matter of fact, the one time when I was going along with it, the person actually told me that he knew I was on the 'do not call' list. So there you go.

If anyone can help with this, please advise.

I have received many calls from this guy and will continue to receive calls from them. I was advised to not answer the phone or answer and then hang up immediatly...(Police) It's obviosus to me they are calling because we subscribe to call display... I don't have a solution for you if you don't have call display...

If I could only get my hands around this poor little Indian Mike Wilson's chickeny little neck...

I completely understand telemarketing, however I am on the DNC list for a reason and  I have asked "Mike" to not call me several times...

My above comments may sound harsh or radical. Remember this is MY HOUSE and it's my job to protect it from idiots like this... There is a reason they hide behind a phone in Indian, could you imagine if he showed up at your house everyday?? What would be left of Mike Wilson?

Please don't give them your time, even if it's fun for you... If they can't talk to anyone then they are left with absolutely nothing to do...

I got a call from Absolute Quality just now and when I told the guy that we are on the no call list, he proceeded to reply with "I want to f#@k you".  Sadly, we do not have call display so I couldn't say if the call came in as private or not.  Needless to say, I am pretty pissed.

This place keeps calling me for duct cleaning...Driving me absolutely NUTS!!!!! They apparently do not abide by the do not call list. Very unfortunate.

There is a mechanism to register complaints with the do not call list folks in Ottawa, the CRTC handles complaints.  I`ve registered a complaint and there was follow up by CRTC and they even notified me when they got a conviction.  I just received a call from Absolute Quality Home Services they tell me they are out of CAmbridge, they offered duct cleaning at 1/2 of the regular price of $260 includes sanitization and cold air return cleaning.  Obviously they don`t adhere to the DNCL.  I`ll be lodging another complaint with the CRTC.

I was called today by the same company, "Absolute quality home services" today. I allowed him to talk and took the time to ask him questions and find our more about their company. He advised me that they have a long history of service in Ontario. I was unable to find any reference to the company in Canada on the Internet, other than this original posting about the do not call list.

I asked the person if they refer to the do not call list before contacting people. He didn't seem to know who I was and then attempted suggest that I had previous services of duct cleaning, windows or door services, carpet cleaning and the like in the last year. He certainly seems to have the answers to the questions down well. I clarified that I had never contacted this company, had any of their services, nor had I even heard of them. He quickly exited from the call.

So much for the do not call list when companies are bypassing it by outsourcing the calling centres to outside Canada.
Oh well, the list has definitely significantly reduced the number of calls I deal with.

Got a call from them today for duct work.  I told them we are on the DO NOT CALL list and asked them to remove my name.  Doubt it will happen but thought I should at least give it a try.

Received a call today from Absolute Quality Home Service for duct cleaning, they claim to be in Whitby.  I had to ask the caller the name of the company 3 times as he spoke so fast and with a very heavy accent, I asked him where in Whitby the company was and he would only say they are in Whitby.  When I asked for the company phone # the caller started getting irritated and then hung up on me.  THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE QUALITY HOME SERVICE in Whitby.

I received this call on a Sunday afternoon; is it not against the law to do telemarketing on Sunday??

I have been receiving numerous calls from a company claiming that they are duct cleaning business.  There phone numbers never appears listed (not available).  I have repeatedly told them not to call and they continuously call me. Firstly he has a very thick accent which is so hard to understand.  I have asked him in several occasions what the company name is.  He mentioned that this business is in operation for 13 years.  I am getting so annoyed.  I have placed my number in the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Obviously it isn't working for me.  What can I do?
