Got a call from the "Bank of Canada". I knew instantly this was fraud. He knew my name and said had I received the information about a certified cheque. I told him I thought he was funny and hung up. He then called me back within a minute using "unknown caller". He wanted to know why I hung up on him and I told him there was no such thing as the Bank of Canada and this was a fraud call. He told me I didn't hear what he needed to say and how did I know it was fraud. I told him I worked for a credit card company and knew there was no such bank. I hung up and called the police.

got this call from this guy with an accent. says he is from Microsoft and that there is something wrong with my internet...I have had calls from this same voice from different phone numbers saying he is with Microsoft...I tell him off and hang up.

I just got a call from this number and even though it showed as "anonymous" I could see the number if I tried calling. When I call it gives me a "busy" signal, though. Glad I'm not alone!! I never share anything over the phone, it's really creepy of they're trying to get info out of me :-/

Who is this? Called me twice today.

Just received this a call from this number (519-663-0647.  The guy had such a strong accent I couldn't hardly understand him.  All I made out was something about a message on my computer the last 5 days.  I kept telling him I don't understand him. I finally got tired and told him to either get someone else to call me or if your a telemarketer to stop calling me.

I received call today from this number (I am in London Ontario)  They said they were calling from windows concerning a problem with my computer. I said that I did not have a computer and could they please remove my number from their call list.  She hung up on me.

That number called here, trying to pretend they are "micro soft" Windows company, wanted me to go to my computer and said that it would crash if I did not.  I hung up and tried calling back - just busy signal.

These are HACKERS trying to take over your computer so that they can get info.  Beware.

saying jamie will see you at 830 looking for his present .   It was a taxt to land line thing.  I sent one back saying no clue who Jamie is.

East Indian - I think , Male caller claiming to be from Window's 7, said he was calling to inform me my computer is being hacked and the hackers are using my IP address - but he couldn't tell me what version  of windows i was running, or what my provider was or what my IP address was (Microsoft would have that info).

This is a VOIP (and probably a Skype) gateway, not a personal number. That means you can get 1000 different people calling out through it, some of them your mom or your buddy overseas, others being people trying to hide behind the gateway to do Bad Things.

I know this because I use a VOIP provider so that people long distance can get a hold of me without paying long distance, and when I forward that VOIP phone number to my cellphone, it goes through this number (and this is what shows up on my caller ID when people call me.)

I got a call on august 26 at 9:25pm from a man claiming that he was from Scotiabank.The man that called me had an accent which I couldn't identify. He said that I had to update my scotia bank account. I told him that I had already up dated my bank account 15 days ago. He told me to just give him my bank account. I said to him that I didn't give any information over the telephone. He said ok, then come to the bank. He then hanged up. I asked the bank if they had called me with this number, the number that this man had called me from. They told me they hadn't, and that the number this so called man had called me from wasn't their's.On my phone it said that this was an anonymous call, but it showed the number! The number that this man called me from was 5196630647. Be careful! Do not give this person any information! He may be a robber!

Got a call from this number at 2:41 A:M Aug 18 2011 but was sleeping so did not answer it.  Wondering who this could be calling from this number at this hour of the night.

I have received many calls from this number.  I can not understand a one they say. Tried asking for an english speaking operator.

male caller, poor English, asked for me by Mrs. (my maiden name) and then either played dumb or the line was so poor he couldn't hear me answering.  He also called from 12022396000 and did the same thing.

I got a sexually harassing call from this number. When I tried to call back, I got the busy signal. He is probably doing this to many others. Be careful and don't give any information.

I received a call from a telemarketer who claimed I was the lucky recipient of some prize that involved ADT Alarm service.  When I told him I was not interested and that I wanted to be removed from their calling list I was told: "No, I will NOT."
