Some angry lady called me and this number showed up. She said I have been calling her repeatedly but i havn't made a single call for days and my phone has been off.

This company called Distributel has been around for many years. In 2004 my sick ex husband had people calling in the middle of the night and harassing me. I knew it was him, as he had another man call me from London and talk about our business. The only way this person would know about the business would be from my ex. This is still going on to this day and it has been 8 years since I left after years of abuse. People would call in 2004 then hang up. When I would press star 69 and get the phone number and call back the number, there would be a recorded message saying bang bang your dead. My friend was there with me and she called the number and the same message came up.
My ex had the house wired for a listening and sending system, confirmed by an investigator who had knowledge of all the wiring my ex was installing in our home. When I found pictures of men and a young boy on his private computer and 678 hidden pictures  I did not know how to open.the page, but all I ever knew and saw was 79 of family and friends. When I asked him who all these strange men and a little boy were, he flew into another rage and threw a chair at me. I have knowledge, that he is using my phone number and having one of his girls call to people to harass them and my number would come up. As my ex lives in Kitchener Waterloo, there is something criminal going on as he reported to the police where we lived when we were married. This man has given false reports to police before, cheated the Canada Revenue Agency,embezzled the company we owned along with another partner, set my name up on the computer to make purchases on Ebay, that never came to our home. The business paid for this as well as he stole money from the company, obtained a huge loan from the bank 7 years before I left, and I had no knowledge until the bank called the house as he was not paying. He is in contempt of the court order when we divorced in 2007 and as a professional con, he has been able to get away with theft. Our partner and myself were being sued for the loan the court ordered he pay and close the business with my consent. and my ex stole from the business, set up other places of business and moved money to the USA where he was partners with others with the money he stole from our business.I have become aware of some of his criminal acts, by filing false claims to the insurance company on more than one occasion to get money. All us honest people pay higher insurance rates due to people like him and due to tax evasion we also pay for criminals like like him to walk away with other peoples hard earned money and a lifetime of savings, Now we have this company causing serious problems to innocent people

on sunday feb.1.2009 @ 3:13pm someone called my cell phone, as soon as i answered my phone the person hung up. when i called back all i got was a dial tone.

I to just received a call from 519-763-5000 and when answered just hung up.  After researching the number, it appears to belong to Distributel

I think this comes up when someone calls from Toronto using a calling card

519-763-5000 is the local access number in Guelph for Distributel.  If a person uses Distributel as their LD provider, they dial this number to access the system and call other people.  On the receiving end of things, you will see this number whenever anyone using Distributel calls you using the Distributel LD service if you are in the Guelph area.  In Toronto, you would see 416-969-5000, in Ottawa 613-237-7000, and so on.  

As for the dial-tone on call-back, that's how their system works.  When a subscriber dials the local access number it rings through to the system and gives them a 2nd dial-tone at which time they enter the desired LD number.

How do you find out the number of that person that called you from that number then?
