Called me on my work cell. Have been called up to 5 times in one day, always from the same number, always with the same scam. A British accented voice stating "Congratulations you have won" YEAH RIGHT!! So i just went along with it. The first thing they ask is if you are over 25 the next thing,(surprise surprise) is if you have a Visa or Master Card, I always tell them i don't have a Credit card and it is surprising how fast they hang up.

MAJOR CREDIT CRAD SCAM, DON'T FALL FOR IT. If someone knows what company name does show up on the statements CALL the credit card companies and warn them of this fraudulent activity

Just got the same call at 2:45pm. Left no message. I am also in Calgary but used to live in the 519 area code

This number phones all hours and yes I have won travel dollars.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Just got this call on my cell in BC at 2:07PST Feb5 2010.
They said something about winning something, then I hung up.

Called my unpublished work number. Did not leave a message.
This would not be the first time that Telus has given out phone numbers to telemarketers.

Unlike a great deal of the people who have posted on this, I have a pair of balls(how much courage does it take to hit 1 and see wtf the score is...seriously) and it was some asian guy on the other line. I asked him how they got my phone number and he wished me a good weekend, disconnected and I heard an automated message tell me that I had been added to a do not call list.

All of that info just by actually hitting the number 1 on my phone. How paranoid are you f***s? Not hitting a number to see what the scam peoples' pitch is? You think a gorilla is going to crash through your window and a** rape you? Maybe your phone will explode? Media.

Just received a call on my cell phone from the same number and got some heavy breathing on the other end of the line. I replied back by hitting the # key for a couple of seconds and then hung up immediately.

In BC, I just got a call from 519-999-8686 about 20 minutes ago on my cell, did not answer.  And for the above poster, I am already on the 'do not call list' therefore I shouldn't be getting these calls on my cell in the first place.

I ALSO GOT A CALL FROM 519-999-8686. I WAS WORKING AND DID NOT PICK UP BUT WHEN I CALLED IT BACK (LIKE 20 MINS LATER)IT STATED THAT THE NUMBER WAS NOT IN SERVICE.

The National Do Not Call lists are only for reputable Canadian telemarketers calling in Canada and the reputable telemarketers calling in the States. The Do Not Call lists don't apply to cross border calling and definately not to these scumbag scammers.

I live in calgary also, just got this call... Didn't press one. Also said i just won 2600 travel dollars.

I got a call just now...pressed 1...got a real live person...told them that if they didn't take my name off of the list, I was going to cut his f***ing head off...dont expect any more calls..

The above posting by Alex is idiotic. Alex, you are either too trusting or not very smart. When you press numbers from their prompter, you are simply programming their call programmes to call you,moron.

I actually found a missed call on Tue Feb02 at 4:51pm. When i called back, i was told by the machine that the number is not in service then kept training but in vain so i left that issue, but today i decided to google the no. up & to find all these comment. So some guys are out there is trying to think that are can make easy money from others.

They called my business number.  They left no message.  I called the number and the recording said it was out of service.  No doubt it was some telemarketer, or worse, one of those scams trying to get you to send money to get more (and if you do you'll never see yours again).  Something should be done to get these people off the phone lines altogether.The Area Code is for Windsor, Ontario.

Got a call too. Didn't pick up. No message.

Called from this number showing "Ontario" in the call display.  I'm in the British Columbia area code 250.  Went to school in the 519 area code.

I'm in Calgary.

Got the Call from 1-519-999-8686 about 20 minutes ago but I didn't answer.  No message was left by the Caller.  I assume it was a scammer or telemarketer.

IT WAS A HEAVY BREATHER, I THOUGHT IT WAS MY HUSBANDS LOVER BUT WHEN I TRIED TO CALL BACK THE NUMBER WAS NO LONGER IN SERVICE. qUESTIONING ATTITUDE IS REMARKABLE LETS ELIMINATE THIS SUCKER
