I got two calls from this number today. The first was a recording that sounded like a real man, but the second was a recording of a woman instructing me to press 1 for more information. Of course I pressed 1 to see if I could get the scoop on the name of the company. "Giovanni" from an obvious call center answered told me that he was calling from Orlando FL, but that the call center that the emergency medical alert goes to when you push the button is in NY state. He tried to avoid giving me the company name, but when I persisted, he said the name of the company is Senior Safe Alert and their website is www.seniorsafealert.com. Neither are valid - not that I am surprised - they have no phone number you can reach them at - they only have a customer service number for their customers... riiiiggghhhttt! Of course, the offer was for "today only" and I could cancel at any time after I paid them $34.95 for the first month. He tried his best to get me to sign up, but when he realized I wasn't going to buy today, he dumped the call. I am sure they will call back. I will continue to mess with them until they decide I am not worth their time. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THEM YOUR REAL NAME OR ADDRESS! Better yet, put yourself on the Do Not Call list and then go after them when they violate the DNC laws!

This number has called my house at all hours. But unlike others I am going down to the police station and submit this number as harassment.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to make sure you realize that Google Voice has pretty much rendered caller ID useless. When establishing a free account on Google Voice, you can choose from a variety of available telephone numbers in all 50 states, regardless of where you're located. So while the number in question here might seem like it emanates from "Sierra Vista, AZ," the caller could be anywhere in the world. He likely established the 520- number so he could scam people in Arizona, who might (incorrectly) assume that it's a "local" business. And he probably has similar numbers established in other states and area codes as well. In due time, perhaps the government will address this, but I'm not holding my breath.
When I receive calls I don't recognize, I simply let it go to voicemail or I lift the handset and hang up immediately. Recently, I answered this guy's call with a shrewd "Yeah?!" and he hung up. This lends credence to those of you who have opined that he's looking to scam senior citizens. Guess I didn't sound like someone who's vulnerable. Please tell your older relatives and friends to hang up!
Please stop calling - I am on the DNC! 2013-05-29 19:59:07 Telemarketer
Just got one myself and it was a robo call. Really gets me mad because you just know the intended target is someone elderly who may have dementia that would interfere with their ability to use common sense to research the truth about the so-called "order" that was supposedly placed, or to even know that it is a robo scam call, before giving their financial information. It's too bad the drop down box under "call type" on this site doesn't have a "scam" choice, because that would be the best description

Keep receiving unwanted calls from this "emergency medical" company. The person sounds like a recorded message. Filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. Have attempted repeatedly to call the number on my caller ID: 520-226-3645, but the number doesn't even ring - it's just silent, then it cuts off to a dial tone. How can people manipulate their phones like this? Disgusting. Report these people to the National Do Not Call Registry - if there are enough complaints, maybe the feds will do something to put a stop to these creeps.

I keep getting calls from this number. I have asked them to stop ~ and they just keep it up!
Barnaby 2013-05-25 20:34:37 Unknown
This call comes daily. If I'm home I answer and quickly hang up because otherwise a message is left that is beyond annoying. I don't buy from telemarketers-- EVER. I'm old, but I'm not addled.

520-226-3645 Caller ID: Sierra VIsta, AZ
Robo-call re:
Medic Alert System and delivery of same all paid for - just tell them when to deliver it --Robo-call sounds amazingly "live".
call 2-3 times a day for the last 12 days.
Don't understand why the phone company can't cut off their service upon seeing so many complaints about them.
Elvira 2013-05-24 23:01:43 Unknown
Telephone 520-226-3645 caller (male) said that he was letting me know that
a Medical Alert system was ready to be delivered. m I informed caller that I had not ordered one and was
not interested. He proceeded to say that someone had already paid for it. I told the man I was still not interested. He insisted with this pitch. I told him I had turned the number to the FBI (which I had on another call). I then hung up. Internet service providers could help reduce these crooks by (1) Getting and coordinating with the FBI to catch these crooks and (2) Conducting background checks on internet and telephone (lanline and cell).

Tired of them calling especially since I have spoken to them 3 times to quit calling me. Does anyone have another phone number for them like their house number so ican call all hours of the night and bug them.?
Concerned citizen 2013-05-23 22:55:02 Unknown
Please try to get as much information as possible (company name would help) and report the medicare fraud to the Office of Inspector General of the United States by dialing the hotline at 18004478477 or email at hhstips@oig.hhs.gov. This type of practice is explicitly illegal. I just did.

This a variant of the well known Meical Alert System scam. Google that and the responses are legion. This was very clever - the calle, "Jope," said that someone had already paid for the system, and gave me instructions to press "1" to arrange delivery. He also added, press "5" to decline. That confirmed that it was a scam. I pressed 5 and hung up. I never said a word.

I want this calling to stop or better i should them at 400 am.
Julie 2013-05-18 20:32:13 Unknown
Arguing with the voice will do no good. It's a recorded message cleverly designed to sound like he's delivering it live.
Aussie 2013-05-18 20:30:05 Telemarketer
Gotta love the scammers technique as he shuffles his papers on the phone, sounds a little hesitant, umms and ahhs and talks like he's sitting in the truck ready to deliver the goods. "Prepaid Medical Alert System" my a***. First time we got the call my husband didn't know it was a robocall and started arguing with him. Now I tell him, if you don't recognise the number, just don't answer it. I added this number to my Cox rejected list. We only have 31 available numbers to enter, so it's filling up fast.

Despite the fact that I have been on the Do Not Call List for years, I have received repeated calls that I do not answer as my caller ID indicates only that it is from Sierra Vista, AZ, and a reverse number search reveals that it is from an unsolicited telemarketer. The Robo caller talks through my recoded message, but that which is partially recorded indicates that this is a scam about a prepaid medical alert system. Any valid company would already have the correct shipping address and would not make such an anonymous call. Those who have researched such systems know that, though the installation and setup for such systems may be free, the fees for such services are certainly not

They keep calling from this number in Sierra Vista, AZ. I try to interrupt him to tell him we are on "No Call List" and he just keeps talking. I kept saying, "Do you hear me" to no avail. They just call back. I don't understand why SOMEBODY can' t stop these callers.

What a jerk. How can we stop this guy. Thanks for the robo call explanation. So no matter what you say, he responds with set questions and comments. How do we shut this guy down????
I have warned my parents - but what about the people who really do have the medic alert system - or the people who get sucked in?
I have tried everything I can think of to have this stopped and his calls still persist. I pick up and hang up, but it infuriates me that I cannot somehow effect a change. Any suggestions?

5 phone calls to date. Am on "no call" list. Beyond annoying. Who are these people?
AMamaJan 2013-05-17 19:45:44 Telemarketer
Since our parents each have a life alert system, we thought this was regarding one of them. What a jerk! This is definitely a scam so BEWARE!

Same as above, except I didn't realize it was a robo call at first and kept talking to the guy! Told him to check his Don't Call list.

Some scammer trying a ripoff. number from Sierra Vista, AZ Robo call for needing info for delivery of a medic alert device that is supposed to be already paid for. I made the mistake of answering and started cussing the scumbag out before I realized it was a robo call and hung up before the end. Don't know if there might be a call back number or

Same call as first one at 5:20pm, 5/16/13. First call I rec'd from them. It made me mad because older people might think the phone call is true. I hung up so I don't know what info they wanted in order to send the "free" medical alert. I hope you can stop them.
