I never answer calls form numbers I don't know, i just silence the ring. If I answer, telemarketers will know my number is alive and won't stop bothering me. Better not to answer at all. If the call is genuine and important, they will leave a message.

Got a call @ 9pm in 613 area. from other messages about 529-399-4989 I guess that was a detection call from a robodialer, a telemarketing company is trying to detect which number is alive. If that is the case, many junk calls will follow.

Received call from this number on cell, but did not answer it.

Same number... also hung up on when I picked up.  Called here at 11 PM at night.

For those complaining about the effectiveness of the Canadian Do-Not-Call list, these calls are coming from .... wait for it.... OUT OF THE FRICKIN' COUNTRY!   How is the gov't supposed to stop telemarketers in Mexico (Country code 52) from calling you!?

The number is not 529-399-4989 but  +52 93994989.

Called but when I reposed the line cut and when I call the call jus end from any where is call. Are you Christians and do you get the call after you read or watch materials to enlighten you about end time then watch out you are secretly under watch

SAME HERE FROM QUEBEC CANADA I RECEIVE A PHONE CALL YESTERDAY JAN 10 2014 AT 6:14 PM WITH THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS ON TOP WAS 615-997-0157 AND THEN ON THE SAME SCREEN ANOTHER 529-399-4889, DOES ANYONE KNOWS WTF IS GOING ON?, I TRY TO CALL BUT NO ANSWER AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN ON MY FACE BOOK I FOUND A WEB PAGE THAT I SUPPOSE TO LIKE AND THIS PAGE IS FROM NASHVILLE TN, USA, AND THE NAME OF THE COPANY IS CIC MULTISERVICIOS, APPARENTLY THEY REPAIR COMPUTERS AND STUFF, AND I SAW THEIR PHONE NUMBER AND IS THE SAME AREA CODE 615, PLEASE BE AWARE OF HACKERS FROM YOUR COMPUTERS THEY MIGHT GET IN TO YOUR SYSTEM THRU  YOUR PHONE NUMBERS.

4 Calls today on my RTOGERS CELL PHONE , no one on the line , called it back just rings buisy .

Same as above, the US do not care about a Canadian Not to call list, and Canadian area codes cannot register in the US system ? The area codes 523 - 529 are not regional ones but reserved for personal use (wikipedia), so for sure a telemarketing company or so.
