Just got a call from 530-423-9860

"Congratulations, you have been chosen to receive a promotional gift! Press 1 to receive it!"

Just thought I'd give the heads up.

I'm in Ontario, Canada.

I'm in Sask and I got this call this afternoon, saw the sketchy area code and ignored it. Then I checked my call history to see where it was from, and since I don't know anyone in California, I figured it's a stupid scam call. What I want to know is where these people get our numbers. My old cell number never had any problems. Only when I was forced to get a new number did this start happening.

I did some reserch on this number and the landline comes for the oldest chinese worship place in canlifornia and im from saskatchewan. this is so stupid

just got a call monday after noon from this number don't know who it is or why it's calling

Got a call last night from this number on my cell.  I am in calgary as well.  Missed the call but now know what it was.

I just got a call from that number too - I'm in Toronto, Ontario. Happened at 4:25pm - I use an iPhone (just in case that's somehow important?)

recvd 2 calls from tel 530-423-9860,first at 3:00pm and the other at 11:00pm last night!!!
luckily missed both calls but after the last i called back and got background music?? did a Toronto.

I am in Toronto. I got a call from this number 1 hour ago and I didn't answer because I was driving. I'm now home and searching web trying to find out who was calling and I found here. Glad I didn't pick up.

ya i live in ontario, and i got this call while i was watching transformers. so i stepped out of the movie to talk to the caller but no one was talking! uhh

I'm with Rogers also! Paygo in Ottawa. I use the phone strictly for emergencies and NO-ONE has my number!!!! I did not answer. I never answer unexpected calls even at home.

Automated voice said "Congratulations." Didn't wait to hear the rest.

Just received a call from this number...  why??  Didn't answer it...  It was to my cell... in BC..  weird...

Just got one while I was at work around 11:00am, didn't get a chance to answer it. Why are these "wonderful" telemarketers getting cell phone numbers? I don't provide my cell # to anyone...

Received a call on Thur Jun 11, Calgary, Alberta. Called 5:17 pm MST. On my work phone. After picking up there was a silence for about 5 seconds before an automated voice  said: Congratulations, your number has been chosen, press "1" now to receive your promotional gift.  I then paused because I wanted to copy the number and the machine was prompted to repeat the message again. Then I hung up and Googled the phone number

I called and sope to Sunny or some spelling version of that name and asked to be put on the do not call ever again list.  I also told her if I ever got another spam call on myu cell phone I would call her every hour for a week and bug the SH&^T outta her for it.

I received a call from this number last night (June 10, 2009), I decided to answer the call. Message said you phone number has been chosen for a prize, press 1, then it repeated the same message, I then hung up. I have SaskTel Mobility. This is the third long distance "unusual" call I have received in the last couple of months. I have given my cell phone number our to only about 10 people. Obviously our cell phone numbers are being released all over North America for telemarketers.

Stupid f***ers from 1-530-423-9860 called me - screw that!

I'm in Kingston, ON.  My phone has rang with this number 3 times over the last 3 weeks but I didn't answer previously. I searched this site last time, so knew the story. Today when it rang I answered just to see -- it was the same thing - "press 1 to claim your prize" blah blah.  I have had this phone number for 3 years - this is the only number to have ever "spammed" me. From the reports above it looks like they are blanket-calling Canadian cell-phone area code / exchange specifically.

I got a call from this number, but I did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  No message left.

I never answer a number i don't recognize b/c it usually ends up being a scam.  I just got the call and checked it out on this site. i'm glad i didn't pick it up.

I got this call too (missed luckily) this evening. My phone provider is Koodo and I'm in New Brunswick Canada.

I only use my number for family and its a cell that i hardly use.. Never used it for even getting pizza and they keep calling me how did they get my number, someone is leaking info from the service providers

Called my cell phone - didn't leave a message. Don't know who it is, but every time one of these stupid marketing companies calls, it's more $$$ deducted for my phone. They should be banned from calling cell phones.  I'd love to send them a bill.
