he is a scam artist said he wanted to buy my car and sent a check and wanted me to send the excess funds to Puerto rico  says he is a marine and cant answer his phone wouldn't talk on the phone until the check came wanted me to wire the 2600 to him he went by terry but also goes by ethan beware of this guy he deserves to rot in prison for a long time!!!!!

I have recieved messages from both and told the 5106929890 it sounds like a scam says he live in PA. but my caller ID says Cali what a dirt bag

He is on other Web sites for example Zoosk and uses the name Terry Turner. He claims to be a Marine oversees, has a 5 year old and his wife died in a car crash. Be aware Terry Turner and Ethan Elliott are the same person. He also uses this number 510-692-9890
He also posts the following ad:

This S** of a B**** is still at it when is the FBI going to catch up to people like this. When they do I hope and pray that they throw the book at him. He is inpersonating the Federal Government in some instances and the Military.

1-510-761-5403 and 1-510-692-9890 r two more numbers this ethan elliott is useing same messages as everyone else. also gave me an address in Redding, Ca... 400 Lake Bvld to send money order after i deposit and cash check. I contacted the bank and business on check and found out it is a lagite business that has had four of these scams pulled off on them and they have lawyers working on it. he said he was a journallist thats why he couldnt call but then he called me 4 times after i received check and tried to get me to rush it but my bank ceised the check and turned it over to authorities.

Same thing happened to us on craigslist. I recevied the email below and sounded to good to be ture, so thought I woud investigate. I also phoned the number provied and man  on the other end inidacted it was some type of scam taht receently we was receiving these calls.

I got the exact same message about my car I listed on Craigslist. I live In Dunedin Fl, He said he lived in St. Peteresburg which isnt far at all, so why would you need a private shipper when my car runs fine??? But he called me the first time at 530 am then 715 am then 1000am... Saying he had another mustang and wanted to take parts from mine to finish his because he was a car dealer. I tried calling him to talk a little more about it and he didnt answer and then 6 hrs later he replied by text and told me he was sorry that due to the nature of his job he wasn't able to answer. Well what car salesman/ Dealer can not or answer a phone call. Half of there job is over the phone.

Don't do it, It sure sounds like a scam... and from a lot of people as well!
The number that called me was 520-955-8067 which is an Arizona area code.
And his name was Mike

Got the same message and just received a check for $2000.00 more than my asking price of item.Scam!!!

Got the same message from him.  Take it to the authorities - post office or police.  He is going to end up costing some naive a lot of money!!!

This is definitely a scam!  DO NOT FALL FOR IT.  I received the same message, but in mine he told me that he was in the marine corps.

The check has been issued and the amount on it covers your funds and
the cost of shipment, this is because the amount i placed with my
company is a refund for a canceled order which can only be written on
a single so i placed the excess funds as payment for the shipment with
the Private Shipping Co. so once you receive and clear the check at
your bank, you will deduct your funds $2800 from the $5500 and send
the difference/excess to the shipping company C.E.O  so they can
prepare every necessary document for the shipment and arrange for it
to be picked-up along with some other items of mine elsewhere.

Got the same message today.  Im sure that its a scam.

I got a check from the same guy. Could make out, it looked fake to me. This guy is forcing me to get it cashed asap. I refused to do it  but still he is insisting. How did you got rid of him???

I finally checked the phone # & found all these other people getting the same run around from this guy.  I have not received a check yet & don't expect to.

Talked to a friend in the (know). Don't  put the check in the bank. I called the bank and had them shred it. It's a total scam. Checks and accounts look legitimate, but 2-4 weeks later you're out the product and the money gets taken out of your account because the account comes back bad. It takes 2-4 weeks for a check to actually go thru check processing.

I got a check. Account is legitimate, but the bank is seeing if it clears to be on the safe side.
