Same old "lower your interest rate" scam. It's pretty obvious that the mentally challenged doofuses on the other end of the line are unable to hold a real job. I often ask interesting questions about their mother's sex lives and the goats they "sleep" with. Might as well get some entertainment out of these worthless scum.

I have had some success with asking, "How did you do in school?" Then I can suggest going back to school and paying attention this time, in order to land a respectable job.

Same old same old...
One of hundreds (perhaps thousands) of scam companies, which first you hear a recording (usually woman's voice, identifying herself as "Debbie Miller"") stating you were "selected" because of your "excellent record" to receive a service...i.e., arrangement to reduce your credit card interest rate.
You are given an option to press "1" to put through to a live agent or another number to be put on a Do Not Call List (which is ineffective and useless, because they will just call back again from a different number).
By pressing 1.. you get a "kid" on the line who may or may not identify himself/herself and then proceed to ask questions...completely ignoring the basic questions such as asking for my name (to verify I'm the person they are INTENDING to reach)... because, guess what? They don't care! You see.. they got YOUR phone number based on a LIST of phone numbers they purchased ... of people who have high balances on their credit cards or have high interest rates... or... simply people who have credit cards period!
They are pitching a means to lower your ostensibly high rates.. and they ask you silly questions, which, if they were legit, they would ALREADY know the answer to... after all, they claim I was selected, right?
Of course, this is all bogus.. and they are merely "fishing," but that doesn't matter to these scamsters.
If you ask ANY basic question, such as "What's the name of your company?", they will either give you a nondescript BS name OR they will simply hang up. If you ask if their company has a website... they WILL hang up, because then they realize they're probably not going to get anything from you.
What I do.... is play along with these A...holes and pretend to be interested and keep them on line as long as possible...for example, I'll say "Could you hold as I go look for my wallet, as the credit card is in there?" and then I'll go make a cup of coffee or a sandwich or take a dump and come back and, IF they are still there, I'll "apologize" for the delay and then ask them again what they wanted...and ask them to wait a little longer. I'll continue to play along, giving them fake info ...names of nonexistent banks and phony numbers and essentially WASTE their time...tying up at least one of their lines and in the process causing this bogus company money to pay these minimum wage earning callers (paid by the hour) for doing NOTHING but going down a blind alley.
Eventually, I "come clean" with a scathing tirade against these jerks in which I tell them what I "think" of their company, and I go so far as to threaten them with my going postal and if I ever discover where they're located, I will wreak havoc on the premises.. and then add... PLEASE notify the police about my threats... because I would LOVE to be arrested and afforded the RIGHT to confront my accusers.... however, "You b*****ds aren't going to do a damned thing... because calling the authorities is the LAST thing you want"
At other times... I simply ignore these kinds of calls. later placing the numbers on my personal blocker.
