got a call and knew better than to answer it
540 555 7669 looked suspicious since I did not recognize the area code the 555-xxxx prefix looks bogus

they call to my cell phone and i speak spanish they told me and spanish that im a winner from my cellphone  company and if i want reclaim that gift press 1 and i did and another lady answer the phone and say right away can i have ur name and u date of birthday n i ask her ok can u tell me my cellphone company please that make me a ''winner'' n she hang up of me,they did this to my landlord and they took from his bank 4,000 dollars becarefull evryebody..

Just got a call, called back and check your number and dial again...interrupted a perfectly good nap

Number called me but when i call it back told me to check the number and dial again bunch of BS...

I get one call a week from this number, always while I am at work during the weekday, and they leave no message.

I received a winner call from this number, then I press ONE to get more information and I spanish voice answer, I ask her to erase my number fron their list y she  said: " you have to talk with the police deparment your number is searched by FBI.
NO way. Scam

Same thing as everyone else.  I am reporting to my phone company to have the number blocked.  If any one know how to report these people please tell us how to do it on this site.

Received a call today, recorded message in Spanish.  The quality was bad but I could make out that the message said to press 2 on your phone if you want to learn more, but I didn't press 2, obviously. Area code and prefix locate them to Richmond, Virginia.  An online search provided LATA and DA Switch information for this phone number, showing that the number IS a Verison directory assistance phone.  Obviously, what is going on is some scammers are using a fake caller ID number.

You all deserve to get pwned by these people. Know why? You refuse to take your business elsewhere when your carrier refuses to help you. They don't care if you got a crank call. Aww, was it in wittle espanol? They are testing to see how much bu***hit you'll put up with and still stay with them. Apparently 30% of cell phone users have dropped landlines. Poll takers and advertisers are fighting to open private cell #'s to publicly call to get your opinion and sell. The cell companies are holding back to take highest bidders. If you haven't been sold out by your cell phone carrier, you will be soon. You won't change, you won't stand up for yourselves; you'll put up with it, pay more for it, and LOVE it. Oh and if you call and say ANYTHING derogatory (freedom of speech) to certain outfits, THEY WILL FIND YOU. Ask the Geico guy how his job is going! They could care less about interrupting you or burning up your minutes, it's ALL in their favor. You are for sale and you let them. Moo.

My wife and I both got calls from this number about 10 minutes apart. We didn't answer, but it left a 1 second voicemail on mine. We both thought the 555 thing was wierd.

I just recevied a call from this number and I let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave me one so I calle back and the line is always busy.

There is a brief pause when you first answer, and then a message in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish so I have no idea what it said) and then it disconnects.

Spanish speaking message.  Call only last approximately fifteen seconds before it disconnects.

This number called my phone today and caused me to have to change my plan due to taking up some of my options on my plan.My carrier namley Cricket Wireless(employee SeanF Merchant ID71006919) completly faied to try to identify or address the problem

This is fake, there trying to get credit card numbers.

Did you answer it?  This number called me but I didn't answer.  I wonder if the same thing will happen.

I just got a call - I only answered it because I have a recycled number so I tell the people that this is no longer that persons number. I assumed it was one of those..... My phone has caller ID and the name came up as Dir Assist.... I answered and nobody was there, stayed on the line about 10 seconds saying "hello?" Hung up and called it back from my office phone and it gives one of those "Call cannot be completed as dialed" messages...

I just had a missed call from this number as well. When I called it back it told me that " the call cannot be completed as dialed"....

every day they call I never answer though. Id comes up with dir assist. cant make them stop.

I missed the call from same number.  It might be a call attempting to find out if the phone line is good and someone answers it.  Kind of like when you open an email to check its contents, and the email automatically sends a notice back to the sender that the email addressee is a verified contact point for you.  The sender then continues to send other emails to your email account, whether it be spam or advertisements.  I attempted to call the number back, however, a recording stated the number is not a working number.
