Just got a call from this number.
Didn't notice it until after they hung up.  I too have Clear (formerly Clearwire), but it's going away as soon as their warehouse takes delivery of my modem.

Caller ID said "Bend Oregon"

No message left.

Re: 541 678-5985 X7056:

I received a "MESSAGE" upon arriving to work yesterday, with this phone number, + extension 7056.  Msg. note stated call was from: Amy, Msg: your internet provider.

Clear Wire, or Clear these days, is my  ISP.  Fortunately I only gave them my work phone number, and so they called, but left no real message. Been too busy to call them back.  They have my email as first line of contact, so  I presume its a call to  talk me into adding on some bundle package, which I don't need, don't  want.

Otherwise, I really like  the quality of service, the speed, that  ClearWire  wireless internet gives me.

My name is Mike and I am the CEO of  Quick Tech, the company making these calls.  I have just stumbled upon this and wanted to reach out with a personal apology and explain first of all, the reason for our call and also how to stop the calls as it is certainly not our intention to harass anyone.  We are calling with any Clear or Clearwire promotions as they convert markets to the new WiMax service.  We do apologize for the blank voicemails, which is just a lag in our phone system disconnecting the call.  We do not typically leave voicemails.  Also, to stop the calls all you have to do is answer one of them and let us know you would like to be removed from our list.  If we do not get an answer that number cycles back through to be called again up to 4 times.  You can also go online and register yourself on the national do not call list.  Thank you all for your understanding and for being a valued Clearwire customer.

I called back too and got someone wanting to upgrade my service.  They were actually very nice.  They increased my speed for just a few more bucks and what a difference.

I received a call from this number today, I answered and he said "Yes, I'd like to speak to ..."  He didn't identify himself from the start so I hung up.  I too have CLEAR internet so I guess they are wanting to push their service.  Not interested.  I can hardly wait to go back to Comcast.  Clear is too little, too late.  When I had problems all they say is you have a two-year agreement, if you cancel you have to pay a penalty.

Please do not call me anymore.  I do not know anybody from this area code.  This is not the first time, but I would like it to be the last.

I just checked my caller ID and saw that I got a missed call from this number also. Looked it up as I do know some people in Oregon. Turns out I have clear also,,,they did not leave a msg. So guess it is as you say a sales rep. We don't have dish network but do have direct tv...So I will not be calling them back. Thankful for the internet that lets me know what is going on. Have a great day~

I got a call from this number yesterday (5/18/2010) mid day. The caller said he was from Clearwire and the company had been SOLD to another Co called CLEAR and I was told I needed to sign-up with the NEW Co or i would lose my internet service in the following month. Stated he would send me a Internet card for my laptop right away and my NEW bill would anywhere from $59.99 to $79.99 per month from now on. I DECLINED and hope i do not hear from them again. This totally sounds like a SCAM. The sales guy was long winded and persistent, I made sure to say NO a lot as he said the call was being recorded. BEWARE!

Received a voicemail consisting of the word "Hello?".  I had Clear for a few days (great speed, too much lag and jitter, though).  Now blocking this number as I have a disdain for the hard sell.

Gotten a call from this number two night in a row now...haven't answered and they haven't left messages. Obviously it must be Clearwire/Clear as that's the only service I have that matches with the other comments. If that's the case, I've already told them recently that I don't want to upgrade my service. Around 5-7pm seems to be the times they like to call (5:46pm yesterday, 7:22pm today). Annoying. Glad I found this website!

Yes, it is Clear.  I answered the call.  This is a telemarketing call. They are trying to upsell their services to current customers.

Was called today at 1740 CDT, answered silently, caller was talking to 'Rob' and saying he'd be "right there" just before hanging up. Didn't even say hello into the phone.

Called for 25 seconds leaving voice mail message.  I could hear two people talking in the background but couldn't make out what they were saying, I'm guessing sales talk.  Caller didn't say a word but I could hear breathing.  If you're going to waste people's cell phone minutes and call multiple times, at least identify yourself and leave a callback number or something like a credible/respectable company would do.

It's Clearwire. I called back and talked with a rep. I thought they were very nice and professional and I ended up going with their phone service too (which I LOVE).  I don't always take sales calls but this saved me a ton of money.

I have received several calls from this number. I no longer answer calls if I don't recognize the number. As is the case of everyone else who seems to receive these calls, I am also a Clearwire customer. I am going to go to my Clearwire local office and ask about this. I suggest everyone do the same. Do not give any information to the caller. Push a key that makes noise instead. This is a trick to get your number off a phone soliciter's list that I have used successfully with a land line. You answer but don't say anything. If a voice doesn't speak to you or it sounds like an automated thing, Hit the # key . Or if a voice does speak, tell them all about your last operation in great detail, embellishing of course. Don't let them get a word in. Or, you can try talking only in vowels. Read a page from a book using only vowels. they won't want to talk to you very long.

I just Googled this number, and found this page...like some others did. It seems like a monthly call same as many here describe, there is a message, but its a lot of ambient noise and voices in the background. I also am a Clearwire user.  Maybe we should call them, and leave similar messages, huh?

I just received this call and answered it. No one talked and I could hear backround office type noise. 6 Seconds all totaled - hung up without a word. I recently cancelled my account with Clearwire.

I have gotten two calls from this number, yesterday and today. In both cases the caller did not leave a voicemail. My phone reported that the call was from Bend, OR. I have a Clearwire account so maybe that's how they have my number. But if it were about my account, I would expect them to leave a voicemail, so I agree that it's probably a sales call.
