I got the same call too on 05/05/08. Iam with Cingular though..

I just received a call from the +5419648989, I did not pickup, but instead googled it and found this thread.  For those of you who don't know what the + means, it signifies a foreign number:

In this case +54 is Argentina, The 1 afterwords is the city code for Buenos Aires.  So it's probably a scam just to rake up your phone minutes by calling back.

I am annoyed at receiving this call on my cellphone since I also have a father in a nursing home that keeps escaping, and my heart stops every time the phone rings! It came through as a missed call and I looked it up before dialing it back, thank goodness. Stop the Scams!!

i just received a call from 5419648989 a few minutes ago. I entered the number in google because i didnt know it. I am from texas and i have verizon.

In Austin TX - just got a call 2 minutes ago.  googled it.  expecting calls from unknown numbers so its hard to know what to pick up.  i just hung up.

Live in TX and still got two calls from this number in the past week.  Answered it today and got a female, Spanish-speaking bot.  Triangle Lake is about 30 or so miles west of Eugene, Oregon.  I only answered it because I used to live in Eugene and thought it was someone I knew!

Got phone call from this number(5/3/08, 7:335 PDT) like many of you above.  No message was left. When I saw that I missed a call, tried to redial and got recording saying "number was not in service".

5:52 pm CST did not answer no message left

i just got a call from this number. i looked it up and the area code is from oregon. i guess some people are saying it's a scam... but how did they get my number? does anyone know what they're trying to do? mine also had a + before it.

Rec a call from this No on 5-5-08, didn't recognize the # so looked it up on this site.  This must be a scam.  T-Mobile

Got a call, didn't answer it. Didn't call back. From oregon? I am from Utah, and have t-mobile as well.

I got the same call from +5419648989. The way the number was formatted, I thought this was an International call and looked up the area code +54 and found out it was Argentina. I don't know anybody there, so I didn't answer the phone. Now that I've googled the number, I was mistaken, but still glad I didn't answer the phone. Cheap goddamn scamsters.

I rec'd this call on my cell also. My carrier is Alltel. I didn't answer the call, no message was left and I never called back. Date of call 5/1/08 (541) 964-8989.

this number called me at three and i didnt answer and then i called it back and it said all the lines were busy.

Got the call but did not pick up. The number showed as "Out of Area". Thanks for the site. This is in northern CA.

I missed the phone call but I didn't recognize the number so I googled it. I found this site that says its a scam. Thank goodness I looked it up.

just got this call and got a message in spanish, i just hung up since i knew i had no business with this company and then i looked it up on this web site.

Received a call from 5419648989 in Blachly, OR. (on my caller ID). Didn't answer and answering machine came up with the screaching wail of a phone left off the hook.

This is the same scam that happened to me a few weeks ago from a different number (+3026949988). In spanish, it says that you've been selected and to press one to receive your prize. Obviously it's trying to get you to call and connect you through to a toll-charging number. I wouldn't recommend calling it back; if you have a block list option on your phone, block both of these numbers.

CALL ME @ 3:50 AND SPEAKING IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE.  SO I HUNG UP.

Got a call 7 seconds long couldn't hear anything - very wierd. This is a brand new number also
